My name is Paula Arce and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals on their journey toward healing and self-discovery. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Trauma, Narcissistic Abuse, Codependency and Borderline Personality features. My therapeutic approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I help clients to overcome anxiety and fear by identifying and transforming ineffective behaviors, habits and beliefs that may keep them stuck. I believe that each person holds the power to create meaningful change, and my role is to guide and support you as you find new ways to live a more balanced and fulfilling life. In my practice as a mental health professional, I am guided by conservative values. I also offer the option, for those who wish, to incorporate Christian principles into the therapeutic process, always respecting each individual's faith and needs.

My hospice and palliative care background has shaped the way I work: with deep respect for what people are carrying, and a focus on dignity, whole-person care, and what actually helps in real life.

I am also a parent of a child with Down syndrome. I know what it means to receive a diagnosis that reshapes your family's future. I've navigated IEP meetings, medical appointments, the emotional complexity of caregiving, and the way people who love you still don't quite understand. My professional foundation comes from my years of experience in the acute inpatient psychiatric setting. Navigating these high-intensity settings taught me to bring calming stability to those who are struggling, and I carry that into every outpatient telehealth visit. Today, my practice supports adults, adolescents, and children ages 6 and up through the everyday challenges that arrive when living with diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and mood disorders.
