I am a dedicated and compassionate Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP). With an unwavering passion for guiding individuals toward mental well-being, I leverage my extensive experience in advanced nursing practice to identify and address the root causes of mental health disorders.

I have been a Nurse Practitioner in an Emergency Department for over ten years. Due to the pandemic, our emergency room has been impacted by psychiatric patients, and I realized that there is a need for nurse practitioners like me to truly help others. Some patients wait hours or overnight in our emergency department to be evaluated. I want to bridge the gap and make a difference by providing care here in Headway.

I am a board certified, doctoral prepared PMHNP. I completed my post graduate at National University in Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I earned my DNP from Azusa Pacific University and graduated from CSUSB MSN program. I have been a faculty at CSUSB since 2014. Extensively trained and a certified Trauma-Informed specialist. I diagnose and treat mental disorders including medication-assisted treatment along with counseling for chemical dependency and substance use disorders.

I've built my career working in adult medicine, with a deep focus on addiction and medication assisted treatment. Anxiety and depression are areas where I find this work especially rewarding. Regardless of what brings you here, I come to every session with genuine curiosity and a commitment to building real rapport. I see clients virtually, and I keep afternoon and evening hours on weekdays so scheduling can work around your life.
