When life gives you lemons...
My education gave me the tools to be a skilled clinician. But it was my own trauma that gave me the insight and depth I bring to this work. I know what it feels like to live in a body that doesn’t feel safe—to question everything, including yourself. I spent over a decade learning how to heal, reclaim my voice, and become the kind of guide I once needed.
In the midst of that long journey, I had a quiet moment of clarity: what I was going through wasn’t just about survival—it was about becoming someone who could walk with others through the dark. That experience grounds my work in both knowledge and deep compassion.
Learning to love the desert
I’ve come to believe that being lost isn’t a problem—it’s part of the path. Like La Loba, the mythical bone-gatherer who wanders the desert collecting what’s been buried and brings it back to life, I help others gather what they’ve lost along the way. That process is sacred, slow, and often surprising—but it’s how we come home to ourselves.
There are parts of you that haven’t died; they’ve just been waiting. And sometimes, when it all falls apart, that’s when the wild, wise parts of you rise again.
I have over 25 years experience working with young men and their families. I love digging in and helping clients find joy in life and increase their resilience.
I am a seasoned therapist with over a decade of experience in child welfare, multisystemic therapy (MST), and crisis intervention for both children and adults. I offer person-centered and trauma-informed interventions that include strengths-focused and mindfulness-based practices. As a radical social and racial justice allied therapist, my approach is rooted in a decolonial mindset, ensuring therapy is free of spiritual bypassing and toxic positivity, focusing on genuine healing and empowerment.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and I love the outdoors and most anything to do with water (boating, fishing, sailing, etc.). Life is about maintaining balance in all aspects, through love. There is so much out there to learn and grow from, so why not have fun doing it? A little about me: I love going to CrossFit every morning. I am a huge nerd, constantly listening to audibles and/or podcasts such as Huberman Lab and non-fiction books. I enjoy being outdoors: snowboarding, motorcycle/dirt biking, hiking, any movement &traveling. My parents are from Peru, so I visit there often. Tambien hablo español! Therapy can help your understanding of where your emotions come from connecting the past to the present, and decreasing the intensity by making sense of it.
Currently, I am offering tele-health sessions only, with availability M-TH from 9:00am to 2:30pm. I am unable to offer appointments outside of these hours. If that works for you, let me know if you’re interested in booking a session, or if you’d prefer to start with a brief 10-15 minute phone consultation!
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a passion for helping individuals and couples improve their mental health by strengthening their relationships with others and with themselves.
Marginalized and/or intersectional clientele are a good fit for me (e.g. QBIPOC). And I do my best to keep it real in our work together. I often work with individuals and families on anxieties, survivorship, post-traumatic stress, somatic/chronic pain, postpartum/perinatal mood disorders or postpartum psychosis. I also have training in psychodynamic theory and child development theory.
