Hi, I'm Eli, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who works with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I specialize in anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
Hi there! I am a bilingual (Spanish/English) Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 6 years of experience in the field. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor serving individuals (including adolescents), couples, and families. I specialize in anxiety, trauma recovery, perinatal mental health, relationship challenges, parenting, and major life transitions. I offer support to those in ministry, missions, or helping professions (including fellow counselors) who may be navigating burnout, compassion fatigue, or carrying unique emotional, relational, or spiritual burdens. I am also trained in EMDR, an evidence-based therapy for helping the brain and body heal from distressing experiences, and certified in Prepare/Enrich, a premarital and marriage assessment.
~Meliorism- the belief that the world gets better; the belief that humans can improve the world. --This is not only the name of my practice, Meliorism Counseling LLC, but it's a core value I truly believe in. Using a focus on relationships, I work with individuals, couples, and families to obtain a sense of overall well-being and balance. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Qualified Supervisor in the State of Florida I have had the privilege to work in the dependency system, child advocacy setting, not-for-profit sector and private agencies. Services are available in office or through teletherapy.
I am a compassionate listener who is focused on helping to improve our patient's quality of life.
Finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming especially when you’re already feeling stuck, exhausted, anxious, or unsure of what you need. I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely understood, not judged or “fixed.” My goal is to create a space where you can be honest about what’s really going on, feel supported through the hard parts, and develop tools that help you feel more grounded and confident in your life.
I work with adults navigating eating disorders, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, relationship and communication difficulties, attachment wounds, and major life transitions. I’ve worked across residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient settings, giving me experience supporting people through both acute challenges and longer-term healing.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and compassionate, while still being honest and practical. We’ll work together to understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck not just manage symptoms, but understand why they’re happening and what you want to do differently.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you’re ready to better understand yourself, break old patterns, and build a life that feels more like your own, I’d be honored to help.
