I use Accelerated Resolution Therapy® (ART), an evidence-based approach that helps people process painful memories and difficult experiences rapidly — often within a few sessions — without requiring you to talk through every detail. I also draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic approaches depending on what each person needs.

I work with adults navigating loss, major life changes, and the aftermath of traumatic experiences. I am also fluent in Spanish and welcome Spanish-speaking clients.

I received my Master of Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University and have trained extensively in trauma-focused modalities.

Hi, I’m Renée Rivers, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in South Florida. I specialize in working with individuals, couples, teens, and families navigating trauma, identity, and major life transitions. As a first-generation Haitian-American woman, I deeply understand the cultural and intergenerational layers that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. My clinical work is grounded in empathy, accountability, and authenticity, I create a space where you don’t have to explain “everything” because I hold space for complexity. I am especially passionate about helping clients unlearn survival patterns that no longer serve them and redefine success, connection, and rest on their own terms.

I hold a master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Counseling with a specialization in Couples and Family Therapy.
