UT Tyler graduate with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022. I've seen clients ranging from age 11 to 72. I completed my internship at Smith County Probation for two semesters and have been working at HopeLink Counseling, a group private practice, for over 3 years.
To say "things aren't always easy" is often an understatement. Sometimes things are more than hard, and may have been piling up for a while. Whether you're battling depression, anxiety, grief, or changes in life, I'm here to help. I've worked with children, teens and adults in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, where they work to sort out their struggles. I have seen the damage trauma can do to relationships, but have also seen the power in connecting with others.
Hi! I am Lauren, Licensed Professional Counselor. I Love what I do. I have been providing therapy for 15+ years in a variety of settings; inpatient hospitalization, outpatient group therapy & private practice. I work with symptoms of depression, anxiety, loss, relationship problems and those who are generally resistant to therapy. I count it as a blessing to walk beside those at their perceived worst... and at their very best. I am so glad you reached out, looking forward to the journey!
I pride myself in being able to give women a male with whom they can trust and feel safe, provide men a listening ear devoid of judgment and offer adolescents a voice that speaks their language in a way that makes new concepts easily digestible.
Service has been a constant in my life. I have served in the United States Marine Corps, worked in law enforcement, taught in the classroom, and now serve as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Each chapter shaped how I understand stress, trauma, responsibility, and personal transformation.
My work is grounded in both lived experience and clinical training. I know what it means to operate under pressure. I understand how trauma embeds itself in the body and how identity can fracture under prolonged stress. I also know that change is possible when insight is paired with disciplined, intentional work.
Clients often describe me as direct, steady, and grounded. I don’t believe in surface-level coping alone. I believe in helping you understand your patterns, regulate your nervous system, and build internal strength that carries beyond the therapy room.
Whether you are navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, or a major life transition, our work together is focused on clarity, resilience, and sustainable change.
I bring years of experience to my work with individuals and families struggling with mental health challenges. I have worked exclusively in outpatient mental health since completing my studies, and I am deeply committed to empowering my clients to thrive. As a mother of five children - including one who passed at a young age - and a bonus child, I understand firsthand the important role that mental health plays in our overall well-being and happiness. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and board-approved supervisor in Texas. I received my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2017 from The University of Texas at Tyler. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the effects of past experiences that continue to show up in the present.
In my work, I focus on creating a space that feels steady, supportive, and nonjudgmental. Many of the people I work with aren’t always sure where to start. They may just know that something feels off or overwhelming. Together, we begin to make sense of those experiences in a way that feels more manageable.
