This is what I know:
In my family, we have Neurodivergence, some anxiety, depression, grief, life stages, chronic illnesses and conditions and pain issues.
My belief: You are the Key to your Solutions!
I came to counseling after realizing at age 16 that I was meant to be counselor. Since then, working as a Sp. Ed. teacher and a regular education and Sp. Ed. counselor and in IOP therapy have added up while I persisted to make my dream come true to be an LPC. Yes, dreams do come true!
Personally, I offer experience and life perspective learned from nearly all the eras of our human experience and I hope to share it with my clients.
Therapies and techniques, and plans are customized just for you: Person-Centered, Cognitive - Behavioral, Solution Focused, and Self - Expression and Mindfulness through art and nature. All are holistically for your mind, body and spirit benefit.
Sometimes, anxiety and emotional pain can be difficult to put into words. You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, stuck in certain patterns, or unsure of how to move forward—even when you know something needs to change. Therapy can provide a space to slow down, feel understood, and explore what’s beneath the surface without fear of judgment.
I’m Abby, a bilingual therapist who works with clients navigating anxiety, trauma, emotional challenges, and life transitions. My approach is grounded in connection, compassion, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), helping you build skills for emotional regulation, mindfulness, distress tolerance, and healthier relationships. I believe that feeling truly heard and understood is an important part of the healing process.
My goal is to meet you where you are while gently challenging you to consider new perspectives, recognize patterns, and create meaningful change. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. Whether you’re looking for support in English or Spanish, I’m here to walk alongside you as you take steps toward healing and growth.
- My approach to therapy is interactive and collaborative, focused on your self discovery and growth. I see our work as a partnership where your voice, values, and goals matter. Together, we will explore what is bringing you to therapy and clarify the changes you hope to see in your life, relationships, and overall sense of well being.
- I prefer to join in with my clients rather than sit back and simply observe. We will actively work together to identify patterns, build insight, and develop practical tools that enhance your quality of life. I will offer gentle guidance, ask thoughtful questions, and invite your feedback so our sessions feel useful and relevant to you.
- I believe the therapy relationship is designed to support the change you are seeking. Our work will help you move toward those desired shifts at a pace that feels right, while honoring what is most important to you. If you are ready to explore your next steps in a collaborative, supportive space, I would be honored to walk alongside you.
