I have been doing this work since 2009 — which means I have sat with a lot of people through a lot of different kinds of hard. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling with a dual focus in professional counseling and marriage and family therapy, and my career has moved through two distinct chapters that have shaped how I practice. The first half was spent in the world of substance use — working with individuals and families where the stakes were high and the complexity was real. The last several years have been in private practice, where I've worked with the full range of human struggle: depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, substance use disorders, parenting stress, and the disorienting moments when life shifts beneath your feet. I work with individuals, couples, and groups. Very few things surprise me at this point — and that's exactly what makes this work feel safe.
Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, but you don't have to navigate life’s challenges alone. I am a dedicated therapist specializing in helping individuals heal from trauma, manage panic disorders, navigate complex relationship dynamics, explore identity, and work through alcohol and substance use challenges. My practice is deeply rooted in supporting people through anxiety, depression, anger management, stress, and family conflicts, with a special focus on maternal mental health, pre-partum, and postpartum care. Whether you are dealing with deep-seated struggles like PTSD or simply feeling overwhelmed by daily life, my goal is to provide a compassionate, inclusive, and deeply human environment where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood.
I provide treatment for high functioning anxiety, stress, worry, overthinking, perfectionism, self-criticism, overwhelm, procrastination, imposter syndrome, low self-worth, burn-out, ADHD and relationship stress. I understand that life's challenges can sometimes become overwhelming, and seeking support is a courageous step toward achieving balance and well-being. I am here to support you with your personal growth and emotional healing. Julie looks forward to helping you discover your inner resilience and empower you for positive change.
You don't have to carry everything on your own anymore. Healing begins the moment you decide you deserve support, and you've already taken that first step by being here. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and nationally certified trauma therapist who works with teens and adults navigating grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, eating disorders, stress, and life's many transitions. Whether your pain feels recent or something you've carried for years, you'll find a space where you're heard without judgment and supported at your own pace.
Hi, my name is Melissa and I am a Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience providing therapy to adolescents and adults ages 12 and older. My practice is rooted in trauma-informed care and utilizes evidence-based approaches such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Solution-Focused Therapy to help clients process experiences, reduce distress, and move toward meaningful change. I am also inquisitive and a conversationalist.
In my approach to counseling, I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy as the main approaches to counseling. It is important that each client's needs are met through their counseling experience, therefore, counseling is not limited to the above approaches. Biblical principles are also used as an approach to counseling. Counseling will be provided to a diverse population of individuals. Optimum health and healing is possible if you are willing to do the work! Be Willing!
