She has worked as a trauma -informed clinician in private practice, leadership positions in child welfare, and juvenile justice as well as other fields of practice. Sara also specializes in working with diverse populations and is an avid supporter and champion of social justice issues.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and graduate of Michigan State University, providing therapy for clients of all ages. My work is grounded in a trauma‐informed approach, and I am certified in EMDR and TF‐CBT. I specialize in supporting victims of crime, non‐offending caregivers, domestic violence survivors, and individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, parenting challenges, and the effects of trauma.
I have been doing this work since 2009 — which means I have sat with a lot of people through a lot of different kinds of hard. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling with a dual focus in professional counseling and marriage and family therapy, and my career has moved through two distinct chapters that have shaped how I practice. The first half was spent in the world of substance use — working with individuals and families where the stakes were high and the complexity was real. The last several years have been in private practice, where I've worked with the full range of human struggle: depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, substance use disorders, parenting stress, and the disorienting moments when life shifts beneath your feet. I work with individuals, couples, and groups. Very few things surprise me at this point — and that's exactly what makes this work feel safe.
I bring over 5 years of combined experience across clinical therapy, behavioral health, and community-based care, serving diverse populations with complex needs. My practice centers on supporting individuals; including system-impacted individuals navigating depression, high stress, and major life adjustments. My goal working with clients is for therapy to be a progressive experience.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a strong foundation in community mental health, specializing in crisis intervention, psychotherapy, and helping individuals navigate complex emotional and life challenges. My work is rooted in real-world experience supporting diverse populations through periods of uncertainty, transition, and healing.
I bring a practical, compassionate, and nonjudgmental presence to therapy. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life stressors, my goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy—your story, your pace, and your goals guide the process.
