Hi! I am a licensed clinical social worker. It would be my privilege to be able to work with you to help to guide you on your journey toward discovery and self acceptance. I have been a practicing Psychotherapist for over 30 years. I possess great empathy, keen insight and am honest and direct with my feedback.
I focus on creating a comfortable and safe environment to help you reach your goals. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who are struggling with anxiety, panic disorder, relationship issues, life trasnsitions and adjustment disorders.
I have been a psychotherapist over 34 years to individuals & couples. I address hurt, sadness, anger, anxiety & depression & the loss of emotional contact in your vital relationships. Painful loss can arise from traumatic shock, & from the non-traumatic experiences of growing up. I can help you identify your true needs, so that you can repair your connection with those you love. Healing is in the therapeutic relationship & the skills I can teach you that can enable you to live a freer life.
I like to utilize different therapies such as psychodynamic, CBT, ACT, person centered, and mindfulness to help clients achieve their goals. I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety and OCD, adjustment disorders, sexual and domestic abuse, anger management and mood disorders, personality disorders, and family/relationship issues. I also consider myself to be a culturally competent therapist, and have experience working with the Hispanic/Latino Community.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received my Masters in Social Work with a concentration in integrated health. I have over 7 years of experience working within the mental health field. In our sessions you can expect to find a warm, non-judgmental, and welcoming approach.
Iβve been a psychologist for more than 15 years and have worked in a wide range of settings, including hospitals, residential programs, outpatient clinics, and schools. I work with teens and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and major life transitions. Iβve also worked with entrepreneurs and professionals in technology and finance who may look highly successful on the outside but are dealing with stress, burnout, or feeling stuck underneath it.

I tend to be warm and thoughtful, but Iβm also pretty direct. I donβt think therapy should feel like youβre talking while someone just nods at you. I want to understand how you got where you are, what keeps repeating, and what may need to change. I also bring some humor into the room when it feels right. Therapy can deal with serious things without every minute of it having to feel heavy.
As an African American Psychologist, I work with people of all faiths, races and walks of life. As a Believer, I believe in the power of faith and therapy to help towards healing. It will be a blessing for me to help you on your journey.
Welcome! I have been a Licensed Mental Health Counselor since 2014. I received my Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling in 2011 after completing my undergraduate education in Psychology & English in 2009.
I am particularly passionate about working with college & college-bound students as well as recent college graduates. I am also very passionate about working with women, particularly for mental health related to pregnancy, postpartum health, sexual health & mom life.
I have over twenty years of experience with anxiety, grief, trauma, relationship issues and parenting, among other issues. In particular, I have worked with loneliness, burnout, social anxiety, and self esteem.
My education is from Binghamton University, Boston College, and Northeastern University. Fully licensed in NY and MA, I have additional specialized training in trauma informed care, DBT, grief, and anxiety.
I earned both my Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work Degrees from Adelphi University in Garden City, New York. I am licensed in the state of New York. I am a dedicated professional with a passion for working with individuals, couples, and families.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health β from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in New York
Searching for therapists in New York means choosing from a wide range of licensed professionals across urban, suburban, and rural areas. Your options may vary depending on where you live, what kind of support you want, and whether you prefer in-person or virtual sessions. If youβre looking for care related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, or life transitions, start by looking for a therapist whose listed specialties match your needs. Provider bios can also show whether a therapist uses approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or trauma-informed care.
Location and schedule matter, too. A therapist in New York City may offer different appointment options than one in Buffalo, Albany, or the Hudson Valley, and virtual therapy can help broaden your search beyond nearby offices. Some people prefer meeting in person, while others prefer the flexibility of virtual appointments from home. As you compare therapists, look at appointment availability, whether they offer free phone consultations, and how they describe their session style. Reading profiles before booking can help you understand how a therapist communicates, what they focus on, and whether their approach fits what youβre looking for.
The cost of mental health care in New York varies, but using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs. Headway helps make that process easier by showing therapists who are accepting new patients, verifying your insurance, and estimating your out-of-pocket cost before you book. Nationally, Headway partners with 100+ insurance plans, and you can confirm coverage based on your location and specific plan. Browse therapists, review bios, and book directly when youβre ready.
