I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) & Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with over 18 years of experience in mental health. My work is rooted in compassion, practicality, and a belief that therapy should be an empowering journey—not a lifelong commitment. I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and seniors who experience ADHD, chronic illness & mind-body disconnect. I also integrate mental health and nutrition into my approach and provide grief-informed care.
I want you to know that therapy is a safe space where you can be yourself. There’s no judgment here—just a commitment to helping you feel more in control of your life and well-being.
People come to me in the middle of ordinary weeks. A door slams somewhere in the house and the chest goes tight. The dishes have been in the sink since Sunday. Someone died and everyone stopped asking about it in March. The drinking stopped and the feelings stayed. A marriage that talks about the calendar, the money, the dog, and never the thing underneath. Some people have carried theirs since childhood. Some were handed theirs last month. Children, teenagers, adults, couples, whole families, people in their eighties who were told it was too late for this. If you found one of your own weeks in that list, you are welcome here.
I am Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centered care. I am known for being friendly, personable, and highly relatable, I focus on building strong connections with those I serve. I love to educate and empower the clients I work with.
We are all given a deck of cards that are not of our choosing. When it comes to therapy, I believe we can all play our cards to the best of our ability, when taught the skills needed to succeed. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, I have been providing therapy for over 5 years. My specialties in the last 2 years have focused on individuals of all ages with OCD, PTSD, Anxiety, Depression, and BFRB's. I also have experience with time management, substance abuse, grief, career choices, and identity development.
I am a double board-certified family and psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. As a Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I believe that healing begins with understanding. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can share your story without judgment and work toward meaningful, lasting change. I provide individualized, evidence-based care for adults facing depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorders, ADHD/ADD, and sleep disorders.
I have worked collectively for 31 years in public safety, crisis work, training and mental/chemical health. During my 16 years in law enforcement (LE) my experiences included being a Sergeant, SWAT Team Leader, Negotiator, Critical Incident Facilitator and Trainer. My experience in LE has led me to my passion in how trauma impacts our first responders. I have used my own experience as a first responder and woman in recovery, to transcend into my current role of a mental health and chemical health therapist working with not only first responders - police, fire, military, dispatchers, front line workers and corrections officers, but also any survivor, individual struggling with LGBT issues, addiction, relational struggles or trauma. I am able to be a conduit of change, sharing the journey with those who face the everyday stressful events, trauma or finding one's true identity. We are never alone. I am here to be a safe place and safe person to share and divide your pain. I am here to honor your experiences, share your success and build your resilience and healing.
I know starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you are carrying stress in your relationships, questioning yourself, or feeling stuck in patterns you want to change. My goal is to meet you exactly where you are and build a genuine, trusting relationship where you feel supported, understood, and encouraged to grow at a pace that feels right for you, without pressure, shame, or judgment. You do not have to sort through all of this on your own.
I provide therapy for children, teens, adults, families, and groups, and I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, respected, and supported.
My clinical work focuses heavily on anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, ADHD, self-esteem concerns, and life transitions. I also work with individuals navigating grief, substance use concerns, emotional dysregulation, relationship difficulties, and trauma-related symptoms. I use a collaborative, client-centered approach and tailor treatment to each individual’s needs, goals, and strengths.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or past trauma? Do you want to sharpen your mindset, improve relationships, find emotional peace, strengthen habits or deepen your spiritual life?
