Do you feel lost and broken? Does life seem hopeless right now? It’s not. Your trauma and pain can actually be an essential part of transforming your life. There is no substitute for painful life experience in moving you toward learning to experience life in the moment, with a greater sense of purpose and contentment.
I have an undergraduate and master's degree in social work. I am a licensed clinical social worker who obtained three years postmaster level supervision to obtain my license in order to practice mental health therapy independently. I love working with individuals to help make their lives more satisfying.
Sometimes life asks more of us than we feel prepared to give. Anxiety, depression, family conflict, grief, or major life transitions can leave you feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, or uncertain about what comes next. You may have spent so much time taking care of responsibilities that you've forgotten to take care of yourself. You don't have to keep carrying that weight alone. I partner with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, family issues, stress management, and grief and loss so they can find greater emotional balance, strengthen important relationships, and move forward with renewed confidence and purpose. Working with adolescents, adults, and seniors, I strive to create a supportive, judgment free environment where meaningful growth feels both possible and sustainable.
Hi! I am a dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I graduated with FNP from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2016. I practiced in a rural health family practice clinic for 5 years before returning to school to get my PMHNP to provide better care for my clients. I help children and adults ages 5 and up overcome life's challenges and achieve mental well-being.
I believe healing begins when someone finally has a place where they don't have to pretend anymore. Healing takes place when we feel safe enough to tell our story. As a Licensed Certified Clinical Social Worker, I help adults navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, and the many challenges that come with being human. I am a musician, animal lover, and nature explorer. I enjoy road trips and discovering new places with my husband of 43 years! We have two daughters who are also LCSWs whom I work with as well. We have a precious, 21 month-old granddaughter who keeps us laughing! As a trauma survivor/hero and thriver myself, I love exploring the healing path with my clients along life's messy journey. My passion is helping others discover their many strengths, and empowering them to become thrivers and heroes as well!!
I have over 15 years of experience within the mental health field. I hold a PhD in Clinical Mental Health Counseling Education and Supervision. I am also a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in AR. I am also a Principal Investigator on many clinical trials for various companies.
