Everyone deserves to have a trusted support or guide along life’s journey––counseling can be a place to find just that. Counseling can be like a cool drink of water in a desert oasis, helping you rejuvenate and find rest for your soul, while you’re working towards where you want to be.
I believe therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to genuinely be yourself. I’m a down-to-earth and approachable therapist, and my goal is to create a space where you feel supported and understood without feeling judged. I also believe therapy doesn’t always have to feel heavy—there is absolutely room for humor and being human.
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals. I have extensive experience working in mental health, particularly with adolescents, young adults, and families. Much of my professional background has been in residential treatment, where I have supported individuals struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, relationship difficulties, and family conflict.
One thing my experience has taught me is that behavior usually makes a lot more sense once we understand what is happening underneath it. I enjoy helping clients understand themselves better, recognize patterns that may be keeping them stuck, and find healthier ways to cope, communicate, and move forward.
I especially enjoy working with people who may have had a difficult experience with therapy in the past—or who aren't completely sure they want to be in therapy in the first place. You don't have to come in knowing exactly what you want to work on. We can figure that out together.
Nathan has lived in Idaho for the majority of the past forty years. He enjoys nature, the great outdoors and the four seasons. He also enjoys good humor, camping, gardening, sculpting, woodworking and time with his family. Nathan has worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over nineteen years in East Idaho and has developed a proprietary curriculum to help those who struggle with life issues such as anxiety, depression, addiction and PTSD.
Compassionate, Goal-Oriented Care for Trauma & Mental Health
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in trauma, PTSD, chronic pain, and treatment-resistant mental health conditions. With over 20 years of experience, I take a goal-oriented, intensive, and patient-directed approach to therapy, integrating EMDR, somatic therapy, and Trauma-Focused ACT (TFACT) to help clients reclaim their lives.
I have extensive experience working with veterans, law enforcement, and individuals navigating complex trauma, as well as those dealing with functional neurological disorders, chronic pain, and severe anxiety or depression. My practice offers structured treatment programs, including EMDR intensives, pain management programs, and immersive healing experiences tailored to your unique needs.
I believe in the deep connection between the mind and body and incorporate physical movement, self-defense principles, and mindfulness-based techniques into my work when beneficial. Whether you're seeking relief from trauma, chronic pain, or emotional distress, I provide a direct yet compassionate approach to help you heal and move forward.
I look forward to supporting you on your journey toward resilience and recovery.
Hello, I am an LCSW from Mississippi with over 10 years of experience. I am currently licensed in Mississippi, Maine, Utah, Florida, and the District of Columbia. I truly enjoy what I do and getting to know different people. I am looking forward to working with you as well.
I approach therapy as a collaborator. My method is client-centered and humanistic. I aim to accompany my clients in achieving the goals brought into the therapeutic environment with openness, empathy, and compassion. Creating goals in small steps is vital for progress and change. Identifying insecure attachment and dysfunctional patterns will lead to lasting change. My clients can learn to recognize unhealthy cycles and gain a deeper understanding of their attachment styles.
Currently, I do not provide therapy for couples or minors.
I have a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have been working in the field for the past 15 years. I have worked in residential substance abuse, treatment, and in individual practice settings.
I have been providing treatment for over 25 years. I'm very skilled and have focused on addiction treatment, depression, anxiety, trauma, and other mental health illnesses. I am very curious about your situation and would love to assist you.

I am also currently completing my PhD in Integral and Transpersonal Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies.
With a foundation in yoga, nervous system regulation, and spiritual practice, my work is rooted in guiding you to return to your own embodied truth through reinforcing resilience and post-traumatic growth.
