I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW/LISW‐CP) with more than 16 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, families, and high‐stress professionals. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of South Carolina with a concentration in Individuals, Families, and Groups. I later completed a Play Therapist Training Program at Old Dominion University Norfolk, Virginia, and I am a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT‐S).
My career has been rooted in service, leadership, trauma informed care and crisis‐responsive care. Across these roles, I’ve provided therapy, crisis intervention, diagnostic assessments, supervision, and program oversight. I’ve supported individuals navigating PTSD, anxiety, depression, burnout, family conflict, trauma histories, and major life transitions.
My background allows me to understand both the clinical and human sides of stress, trauma, and resilience.
La vida se mueve en olas. Life moves in waves. I started Olas Therapy because I am passionate about supporting children, teens, adults, and families in navigating trauma, big emotions, and identity exploration with a holistic and personalized approach- helping clients ride life’s waves with resilience and connection. I provide services in Spanish and English, and I love working with kids of all ages. I am particularly interested in supporting caregivers in navigating parental challenges to foster a healthy parent-child relationship and promoting healthy sexuality across the lifespan.
Counseling with a sense of humor! Licensed therapist since 2007.
I work with adults who are coping with chronic medical conditions, major life changes, and the motional weight that can come with navigating the healthcare system. Many of my clients are adjusting to new diagnoses, dialysis or kidney disease, disability, caregiver stress, or the anxiety and depression that often accompany health challenges.
As a medical social worker, I bring a strong understanding of how physical health and mental health intersect. I help clients process loss, rebuild a sense of control, and develop practical strategies to manage both emotional and day-to-day stressors.
With over 25 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I specialize in supporting individuals navigating grief and loss, life transitions, chronic illness, trauma (including first responders), aging-related concerns, and members of the agricultural and farming communities.
I provide telehealth services across multiple states, I’m here to support you on your journey toward healing and growth.
Hello there, my number one priority is to see clients within 1 to 5 business days to begin the process of assisting them with a hot topic known as "Life-ing." Today, I consider myself blessed because I find it rewarding in seeing clients reach their maximum potential. In addition to my mental health background for over 28 years, I have my own life experiences, coupled with being married to a minister, motherhood, and personal trauma, which have proven to be beneficial in my scope of practice.
I have done extensive work with grief/loss, anxiety, relational, premarital, substance use, and Christian Counseling.
For 18 years, I have worked alongside children and adults navigating some of life's hardest
moments: anxiety, depression, trauma, family conflict, and more. I believe that when you
invest in your mental health, you gain more control over your own life, and that is something
worth working toward together. I am dually licensed in both North Carolina and South
Carolina, which means I bring a depth of clinical experience across many settings. Using a
blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy, I meet you where
you are and help you build toward where you want to be.
I have been practicing as a licensed therapist for 10 years and specialize in helping people reclaim their lives by healing from the pain of trauma, anxiety, and depression. I am trained as a clinical mental health counselor with additional specializations in play therapy and trauma focused work. I work with all populations from preteen into adulthood.

My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed, integrating evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), polyvagal-informed interventions (PVT), mindfulness-based strategies, and Motivational Interviewing to meet each client's unique needs.
I earned my Master of Science in Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from St. John's University in New York City. My experience includes working with children, adolescents, adults, and families across community mental health, intensive outpatient treatment programs, Head Start consultation, and private practice. As a former collegiate athlete, I have a special passion for working with athletes navigating performance pressure, injury recovery, confidence challenges, burnout, and the mental demands of competition. I understand the unique challenges of balancing athletics with everyday life and enjoy helping clients strengthen both their mental health and mental performance.
