Welcome — I’m Glad You’re Here!
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but I want you to know that you don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. My goal is to create a warm, comfortable, and down-to-earth environment where you can be yourself, feel heard, and talk openly without judgment.
I believe therapy should be both supportive and challenging. I’ll meet you where you are, but I also won’t be afraid to gently challenge you when I believe it can help you grow. Sometimes we need someone to simply listen and help us make sense of what we’re feeling. Other times, we need someone to help us look at things differently, step outside of our comfort zone, or recognize patterns that may be holding us back.
You can expect honesty, encouragement, compassion, and probably a few laughs along the way. I believe meaningful progress happens when you feel safe enough to be vulnerable while also being willing to do the work.
My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can feel supported, gain confidence, develop healthier coping skills, and learn to navigate life with a little more grace and self-compassion.
You don’t have to do it perfectly. You just have to be willing to start.
I will attach a worksheet regarding past, present, future. Please feel free to bullet point highlights. This tool helps me as get to know each other.
Few fun facts: I love the Chiefs, the Vols, animals, and have two dogs, 1 cat and a bearded dragon!
