Hi, I’m Dr. Olamide Alabi, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a passion for helping people navigate mental health challenges. I have over a decade of experience in mental health and substance abuse treatment, working in hospitals, community mental health centers, and recovery programs.

I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Samford University and hold multiple degrees in nursing, law, and agricultural economics. My diverse background, having studied in Nigeria, and the U.S., helps me provide culturally competent and inclusive care.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel heard and empowered on their journey to wellness.

I specialize in working with clients facing anxiety, depression, divorce, grief, trauma, school-related concerns, parenting challenges, and relationship issues. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), combined with a truth-filled Christian perspective, fostering strength, resilience, and hope.

I believe in treating every client with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Through a non-judgmental, supportive, and honest approach, I empower individuals to overcome obstacles and work toward a peaceful, meaningful, and purpose-filled life.

I have 21 years of experience working with clients. I specialize in Trauma therapy. I use Cognitive Behavioral based therapies to include EMDR. I am often told I am a good listener and nonjudgmental.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that’s been practicing in the field of social work for over 25 years.

Educational achievements include obtaining both Bachelor's and Master's of Social Work degrees. I have also acquired a Clinical Social Work Licensure.

When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time with family, friends and pets. I also enjoy traveling, dancing and engaging in outdoor activities.

I came to train and serve as a counselor after being helped by counseling in my 40s. Sometimes reaching out for help and making changes in life is scary and overwhelming. Sometimes we need support as we navigate these changes. I love to support my clients as they make life-giving changes.

I focus on helping individuals through grief and loss, anxiety, depression, anger, and physical stress. My passion is helping patients move from a place of despair to optimism. My ability to help others comes from personal life experience, formal and informal education and the desire to help. I use researched based therapeutic methods to strengthen and empower you to be able to problem solve and face challenges independently. I will not promise you a cure. I am a licensed therapist with a Doctorate in Professional Counseling from Mississippi College and nearly 15 years of experience supporting individuals, families, children, and adolescents in both individual and group therapy settings. Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of sitting with people through some of their most difficult and transformative moments, and I bring empathy, patience, and genuine care to every session.

My clinical experience includes working with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and behavioral health concerns across a wide variety of ages, backgrounds, and life circumstances. Two populations are especially close to my heart: children and adolescents experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges, and women healing from trauma. I understand how overwhelming these experiences can feel, and I am deeply committed to helping clients reclaim their strength, find hope, and move toward healing. I believe healing is possible for everyone, and I consider it an honor to be trusted as part of that journey.
