I became a therapist because I wanted to show up for people in the moments that matter most. My background spans emergency services, crisis intervention, inpatient psychiatry, residential programs, and outpatient care — experience that shaped a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to every session.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, panic attacks, anger management, life transitions, and relationship challenges. I also offer couples counseling through a Solution-Focused approach. As a Black male therapist in Central Massachusetts, I'm especially attuned to the needs of men's mental health — an area that is underserved and where I bring both lived experience and clinical depth.

I'm an LICSW — Massachusetts' highest independent social work license — trained at Salem State University and offering evidence-based, online therapy across the state.

Rooted in my graduate training at the University of Rhode Island, I developed expertise in both general clinical and health psychology. I developed a programmatic line of research in health promotion (adoption and maintenance of multiple health behaviors including exercise, smoking cessation and nutritious eating) with a particular focus on exercise motivation as a gateway to adopting other health behaviors.

During my internship and postdoctoral training at VA Connecticut and VA Boston, respectively, my research evolved towards integrating health behavior change (e.g., exercise adoption and maintenance) with veterans suffering from chronic musculoskeletal pain and PTSD. As I learned more about the biopsychosocial model of these medically and psychiatrically complex disorders, my ultimate goal became to help veterans better manage their pain and PTSD symptoms, utilizing health behavior change as a complementary component of their overall treatment program. With this approach, the ultimate goal was to help them improve their overall quality of life and well-being, long-term.

My patient oriented research experience, over the past thirteen years, directly informed my approach to my clinical work with individual patients. In fact, I worked for Newton-Wellesley Eating Disorders and Behavioral Medicine for the past fifteen years. As part of this work, I focused on helping individuals suffering from the full continuum of eating disorders (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder) to sustain their recovery long-term and achieve "recovery maintenance" through establishment and achievement of additional life goals and to move beyond their "eating disorder" identity to a "whole person" identity to create a more meaningful life post-recovery. Additionally, as part of this practice, I treated patients suffering from anxiety, PTSD, chronic musculoskeletal pain and depression as well as veterans from the community.

With over 15 years of nursing experience, my passion for psychiatry began early in my nursing career as I witnessed patients transform their lives through healing, self-discovery, and resilience. It is profoundly humbling meeting someone at their lowest point and having the privilege of walking alongside them as they do the work to become their best selves.

I work with adults ages 18 to 60 from all walks of life, with a special focus on individuals who are often overlooked, misunderstood, or silently struggling. Many of the people I work with appear “put together” on the outside—successful, dependable, and strong—while internally feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or barely holding it together.

I was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, to immigrant parents from Haiti, and my cultural background plays an important role in who I am as a provider. Being deeply connected to both Haitian and American cultures has given me a broad perspective and a deep appreciation for cultural identity, family systems, and the shared human experience. At the core, struggle looks very similar across cultures—and everyone deserves care that is respectful, culturally responsive, and compassionate.
