Dealing with grief, loss, or trauma? Feeling disconnected, alone, and unhappy? Struggling with relationships, addiction, or painful wounds from childhood? If you said yes to any of these, I can help. Often, the burdens of trauma manifests itself in mysterious ways and can lead to various concerns such as depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship difficulties, trust issues, isolation, and shame. These challenges can hinder healthy relationships and self-care.
Many people will see me because they won't know quite what that need and they are looking for answers. I specialize in providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care and I specialize in care for veterans, service members, first responders, and older adults (such as those with dementia), although I am open to seeing anyone who needs help! At the very least, I can help point you in the right direction.
Whether you're managing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or the emotional impact of chronic stress, we'll work together to develop a treatment plan that fits your goals. My approach is collaborative, practical, and grounded in respect, confidentiality, and individualized care.
Jacqueline Hopkins is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of extensive counseling experience. Special interest in working with clients who have difficulties with depression, anxiety, self esteem, ADHD, stress, and pain management.
Life doesn’t always give you time to catch your breath, whether you’re managing
anxiety and depression, moving through a stressful life transition, or facing a chronic
illness or end-of-life diagnosis. For over 12 years, I’ve helped adults and seniors find
steadier ground through anxiety, depression, chronic illness, end-of-life care, and the
stress of young adulthood, in a warm, empathic, and nonjudgmental space. If you’re
looking for a therapist to walk alongside you, I’d love to connect.
I help adults heal from trauma, grief, and overwhelming life experiences that may still be affecting how you feel day to day. You may be dealing with panic attacks, sleepless nights, nonstop worry, irritability, dissociation, explosive emotions, or the sense that what happened to you is still showing up in your work, relationships, and everyday life. I also work with clients healing from childhood abuse or neglect, grief, car accidents, and other painful experiences that can leave you feeling stuck in survival mode. My goal is to help reduce suffering and support you in finding a healthier, more peaceful path forward.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Temple University and my Master of Social Work from Indiana University. With over 10 years of experience, I support individuals in managing anxiety, navigating depression, and healing from past trauma.
My approach blends evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness with a spiritually grounded perspective. While therapy is rooted in clinical skill, I also create space for deeper connection—often integrating spiritual awareness into the work for those who are open to it. I believe healing is not just mental, but also deeply internal and, at times, spiritual.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in painful relationship patterns, carrying the effects of trauma, or facing a life transition that feels hard to manage, therapy can be a place to exhale. I work with adults who want support making sense of what they’re going through and finding practical ways to feel more grounded, understood, and in control. I also support clients navigating family dynamics, including experiences related to autism, adoption, and complex relationships.
I believe therapy works best when you can show up as yourself without judgment, pressure, or feeling like you have to say the “right” thing. I’ve known since I was a junior in high school that I wanted to help people heal from the inside out, and that purpose has stayed with me ever since. For me, therapy isn’t just a job it's my purpose.
I work with clients ages 10+ navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, self-esteem, and life transitions. I’m warm, down-to-earth, and pretty easy to talk to. You don’t have to come to therapy with everything figured out...we will do that together!
