Hi, I’m Laura and I specialize in helping women and teens heal from trauma, whether it shows up as anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling completely disconnected from themselves. I experienced trauma growing up and know firsthand how it impacts the whole body.
Through Somatic therapy, Brainspotting, and EMDR, I help clients release what’s stuck in their bodies and rebuild trust in themselves—because healing isn’t about “getting over it,” it’s about feeling safe again.
Accepting New Clients: I currently have limited openings on Tuesday mornings for new clients (available in-person or telehealth).
I’m Kaylee Torno, MA, LPC, NCC, and the founder of WayForward Counseling & Consulting. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver and have over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families as a licensed therapist and professional school counselor.
I specialize in working with teens (ages 16+), young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and emotional overwhelm. My goal is to offer a compassionate, down-to-earth space where you can feel supported as you better understand yourself, build coping tools, and begin finding your way forward.

I work from a client centered and trauma informed approach addressing all aspects of a client's whole self, to help the client find healing, hope and freedom to navigate life's challenges and learn to thrive. I specialize in working with women who feel stuck in patterns such as people-pleasing, overthinking, perfectionism, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling disconnected from themselves. These patterns are often rooted in developmental and relational trauma and can continue to impact relationships, self-worth, and emotional well-being. My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients heal at the root of their struggles.
I enjoy working with clients ages 16+, but most of my clients are 25-50. My clients come from a variety of backgrounds and careers such as educators, engineers, nurses, students, stay at home parents and those between careers.
I was born and raised in Cincinnati, OH and hold a Master degree from Xavier University. You can expect a safe and comfortable environment as we dialogue to help you sort through emotions. We may delve into your past but we won't dwell there because your energy is needed in the present moment as you look within yourself to find peace and the power to be your true self.
PLEASE NOTE: I am licensed in CO/FL/TX but accept insurance only in CO/FL/TX. Self pay option is available at $95 for in person sessions and $60 for tele-health.
I offer virtual or in-person therapy sessions in Castle Rock, Colorado. I know what it's like to struggle with depression, addiction, and narcissistic abuse. I became a therapist and an energy healer after going through my own "dark night of the soul." Many clients tell me that they relate to me because I have been though similar experiences and know what it's like to push through depression, and overcome addiction and trauma. My goal isn't to help you merely mask symptoms, but to help you navigate through them while healing the underlying roots, staying grounded, and discovering your most authentic self and a life of fulfillment and thriving.
Welcome! I have masters degrees in education and marriage and family therapy, and enjoy working with clients of all ages. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and licensed addiction counselor in Colorado and would love to see if we are a good fit!
