I live by a this motto: When you love what you do and do what you love, you never work a day in your life! My 36+ years as a psychotherapist has never been experienced as 'work' because it is both my vocation (a job) AND my avocation (something about which I am passionate). I consider it a privilege to journey along side my clients, to encourage and provide insight into how and why life is unfolding as it is.
Hi! My name is Maggie Peters and I have been a Mental Health Counselor for about 10 years. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have worked as an outpatient therapist/mental health counselor in many settings. I am also experienced in crisis intervention, as I used to work for the 988 suicide prevention hotline. I enjoy exploring coping strategies, implementing healthy, daily practices and processing stressors. I am a proud member of the LGBTQ community and have a lot of experience surrounding gender identity, acceptance and positive self esteem/self worth.
I come to therapy with a background in education and theater, which has deeply shaped how I connect with people and understand the human experience. My work is rooted in helping individuals better define who they are, where they want to be, and what may be standing in the way of getting there.

Together, we’ll identify obstacles, explore patterns, and engage with challenges in a meaningful way until we find solutions that truly work for you.
