I'm Katie Klumb, MA, LPC, at Awakening Peace Counseling. I found my passion for the healing process through my own therapeutic journey. You are not alone. I enjoy working with men and women both individually and couples. Hello there, I’m C Blanck (they/them), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with an MSW (Master of Social Work) and MDiv (Master of Divinity). I specialize in trauma, including complex and religious trauma, as well as suicidality. I work with adults navigating anxiety, identity, and the impacts of systemic, relational, and traumatic harm, with a particular passion for supporting LGBTQIA+ and neurodiverse communities. I am CAMS (Collaborative Assessment and Management of Suicidality) trained and currently working toward full certification in the model, as well as an EMDR provider in training.
NOTE: I am currently completing EMDR Basic Training and integrating EMDR-informed interventions under the guidelines of my training program. Anticipated completion of EMDR Basic Training: Early November 2026.
While I specialize in the treatment of trauma, including complex trauma, I am currently utilizing EMDR with appropriate clients and concerns consistent with my level of training. For clients seeking treatment for complex trauma, I also draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative, psychodynamic, ACT, DBT, and other trauma-informed approaches to support healing and recovery.
With my graduate certificate in Human-Animal-Environment Interactions in Social Work (HAEI-SW), I plan to introduce more animal assisted activities this Fall with my sweet-high energy lab mix therapy dog, Mr. Fusion.
As an LPC, I’m here to support you through life’s messy moments. Asking for help takes courage, and I’m honored to walk alongside you as you find your way forward.
You are exhausted and overwhelmed. There’s too much to do and you never feel like its enough. Your brain never stops thinking. You always feels behind. Your body is aching. You can’t keep living this way.
If you are a parent, maybe you are yelling more at your kids than you’d like to admit, and the guilt you feel after losing your temper is real. You feel ashamed that everything sets you off. You really wanted to do this differently than how you were raised.
Maybe you feel like you’re failing at life or parenthood; you aren’t proud of how you are coping. And your relationships are struggling. You and your partner feel more like roommates. You feel like you’re drowning in parenthood. Life feels too heavy.
If you are looking for a space to unload your stress, take care of your mental health and feel like yourself again, you are in the right place. Please email to schedule a consultation- my Headway calendar is not an accurate representation of my availability: [email protected]
My goal is to help you understand and accept the many multifaceted aspects of yourself and integrate these aspects, forming a cohesive, harmonious sense of self. Our journey together is about developing a profound self-understanding and acceptance, freeing yourself from entrenched patterns, and healing from past experiences. This process leads to outcomes such as heightened self-awareness, self-confidence, reduced stress, and increased capacity to face the world with your whole, authentic self.
