Navigating the ups and downs of life can be overwhelming, confusing and downright exhausting. Especially if going at it alone. If you’re here, there is most likely a part of you that is wanting more than just to survive life, but to genuinely enjoy the role you have in it. I am a Licensed Therapist who believes in the inherent ability of each person to connect with their authentic selves to live a more attuned and genuine life.
I have been working in the therapy field for the last 6 years, working with a variety of clients from various identities and backgrounds. My work often focuses on supporting individuals recovering from childhood trauma, navigating relationship and identity issues, dealing with anxiety and depression, sitting with self-critical or self-hating views of themselves, feeling disempowered within systems of oppression, and discovering (or rediscovering) the parts of themselves they have lost. I work with clients to help increase their awareness and understanding, develop and gain skills to make lasting change, and overall honor and become intentional with their emotional experience.
I’d be honored to take this journey alongside you.
I work with individuals of all ages navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship issues, life transitions, or that lingering feeling that something just isn’t right. My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative—I offer space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and reconnect with what matters most. Whether you're healing from recent events or long-standing patterns,
I am so glad that you are here seeking the wellness that you desire and deserve. I have worked in this field a long time. Having received my MSW from Cal Poly Humboldt, the course of study focused on rural and Indigenous communities and was both solution-focused and strength based.
It is very hard to feel safe and grounded in this uncertain world. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who uses humor and compassion when providing the support, understanding and empathy necessary to help you with your emotions . You may have experienced a sudden career transition , life change. or loss. I can help you master these unwelcome emotions that prevent you from living your best life. Our goal together will be to assist you in obtaining the personal insight, strength and skills to find peace.
Making the choice to get help can be scary and difficult. However, once you make that decision and you start receiving the help and guidance you need, you will feel listened to, safe, and empowered. We can work together to explore what is impacting your life and holding you back from having the life you want. I have over 16yrs of experience, working with children, teens, adults, couples, and families. My specialties include trauma, abuse, assault, grief/loss, childhood issues, and domestic violence.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I work with individuals, couples, and families. My specialties include relationship problems, sex/intimacy concerns, and PTSD. Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in California
Searching for therapists in California means choosing from a wide and varied mental health care landscape. Available therapists and areas of focus can differ across urban, suburban, and rural parts of the state, so it helps to start with what you want support for. You might look for a therapist with experience in anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, or major life changes. From there, review each therapist’s listed specialties, therapy style, and background to see whether their training matches what you want from care.
Location and format also shape your search. In Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and other parts of California, you may find therapists who offer in-person sessions, virtual sessions, or both. Some people prefer meeting in an office, while others choose virtual appointments for schedule fit or access outside their immediate area. As you compare therapists, look at appointment availability, whether they offer a free phone consultation, and how they describe their approach. A therapist’s bio can help you understand what sessions may be like before you book.
The cost of therapy in California varies, and using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to lower session costs. Headway helps you find California therapists who are accepting new patients, match your preferences, and may take your insurance. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and you can enter your plan details to see your estimated out-of-pocket cost before booking. From there, you can browse therapists, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
