If you are navigating the quiet weight of relationship wounds, identity
questions, or emotional patterns that have followed you for years without
fully understanding why, I specialize in exactly this kind of work. I am a
Latina therapist who provides services in Spanish and English, bringing a
culturally affirming lens to every session. I practice in Santa Clarita with
specialized tools including Brainspotting and IFS for deeper healing.
Let's start wherever you are. Stressed? Overwhelmed? Anxious? Unmotivated? Feel like you're faking it through life? I'm with you. I welcome you to be heard, to let down and rest. I support you in working through past events, discovering your true self, and learning new skills to empower you. I work with individuals in person in my cozy office in Pasadena.
More that fifteen years of teaching English and drama at a Los Angeles public high school taught me many things - primarily, it taught me how often people's barriers to achievement are not due to any lack of skill or ability, but rather from emotional barriers stemming from stress, adversity and trauma. So, I went back to graduate school to pursue a new career as a therapist so that I could help in a different way. My training and experience has focused on treating anxiety disorders, PTSD (including Complex-PTSD) and also couples - helping them to navigate challenges and triggers so that they can reset and reconnect.
I bring 20 years of experience in many areas of therapy including LGBT specializations, drug/alcohol issues specialization, and a client centered approach
I'm Dr. Jack Sample, a licensed clinical psychologist in Los Angeles offering psychodynamic, depth-oriented therapy at my office in Hollywood. My practice is informed by training and education in psychology, cultural anthropology, and nonfiction storytelling. I believe therapy is an opportunity to address the roots of suffering and support enduring change. My approach aims to cultivate capacities for thinking, feeling, and creativity to foster a greater sense of agency and aliveness.
I specialize in working with teens, young adults, and adult individuals. I work collaboratively to explore the underlying negative patterns that cause you to feel stuck. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, or life transitions, therapy can be a powerful space to gain insight and feel less alone.
I've always been fascinated by the resilience of the human spirit. If you are working through what happened without judgment and identity what could help you keep going.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Mental Health Therapist in Palmdale, CA
Searching for therapists in Palmdale starts with finding someone whose training matches what you want support with. Many people look for therapy for anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, or life transitions. As you compare therapists, review their listed specialties and approach to care. Some may focus on cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, family therapy, or support for specific communities or life stages.
Palmdale has local therapy options, and nearby areas like Lancaster can expand your search. Virtual appointments can also make it easier to find a therapist who fits your schedule, especially if office location or commute time matters. Beyond specialty, look at appointment availability, whether the therapist is accepting new patients, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading therapist bios can help you understand their communication style, session structure, and what working together may look like.
Therapy in Palmdale can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs. Headway helps you compare therapists who are accepting new patients, check your insurance, and see your estimated out-of-pocket cost before you book. You can browse therapists, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
If anyone in your family is experiencing or worried about abuse, threats, or coercion, joint family or couples therapy usually isn't the right starting point — individual support is safer. The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline (1-800-422-4453) and National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788\) can help you think through next steps.
