Well hello there, here at On The Right Path, PLLC, we strive to guide you on your journey. Whether small or big we can work toward your goals together. I have had the honor of being invited into the lives of many clients with various backgrounds. I have worked with clients living with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, family issues, career obstacles and much more. My therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, authentic and professional.
I have over 8 1/2 years of experience helping adults, children, and families learn how to heal and grow from dysfunction, trauma, addiction, and mental health issues of all kinds. I have worked with people from ages 3-80 years old so I have a multitude of experiences with all kinds of mental health issues including (trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, LGBTQIA+ related issues, and more). I am a licensed marriage and family therapist who has worked in community mental health and online.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly 50 years of experience helping individuals, couples, families, churches, and organizations find help, healing, and hope. Dually trained in both clinical psychology and theology, I bring an integrated perspective to mental health care that honors the whole person. I earned my Psy.D. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Rosemead School of Psychology at Biola University and have served in a variety of professional roles, including Director of Counseling Services at Focus on the Family and Vice President of the American Association of Christian Counselors. I have authored or co-authored ten books on marriage, mental health, recovery, and relational health, and have been in professional practice since 1977.
As a LPC, I know that the client is the expert in their own life, and this truth guides the work we do together. I earned my BA from Lycoming College and my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling from Rider University. My theoretical framework is Person Centered/Solution Focused/CBT via talk therapy. My specialties include, but are not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, self-esteem, career challenges, relationship issues, grief, family challenges, and illness.
