Hi there and welcome!
My priority is supporting clients on their journeys towards personal healing & growth.
In 2010, I received my MSW/LMSW. While doing outpatient clinical work at the NYC non-profit agency JBFCS, I became an LCSW. In 2016, I began to establish my private psychotherapy practice, focusing on young and professional adults presenting with a broad variety of life challenges.
I've worked successfully with race-and class-diverse, LGBT and straight clients from teens to seniors. Many are new to NYC or in other life transitions. Clients come with anxiety, identity issues, relationship or work problems, trouble managing anger...My style is warm yet analytical, and interactive. I encourage laughter! I find that people want to understand themselves, break free from self-damaging patterns, and live more fully--and joyfully.
I utilize a multi-theoretical basis for all my clients. For my practice, trust, warmth and communication are the foundations of a good therapeutic relationship. I have a specialty in child/adolescent/family issues. However, I see many young adults who have issues feeling at ease and confident in their relationships and workplace. I endeavor to lift my clients out of the dark place that may be weighing them down to finding the solutions that will enable them to live freely.
Introduce yourself to help prospective clients learn about you and your practice. We recommend including your professional background, education and any specific treatment areas you specialize in.
As a humanist, I believe in the inherent worth to every single human being. I am guided by the ethos of a journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step, and it is with each movement that we get closer to where we want to be. Through intentional effort we encounter change, embrace healing, and a foster a fruitful fulfilling life.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing an Addiction Therapist in Valley Stream
Searching for therapists in Valley Stream starts with finding someone whose experience matches what you want support with. Therapists may list specialties such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, trauma, or major life changes. As you compare options, look for a therapist whose training, listed specialties, and approach fit your needs. A profile that mentions cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, family therapy, or another specific approach can help you understand what sessions may be like.
Valley Stream is a smaller local market, so nearby in-person therapy options may be more limited than in larger parts of New York. Virtual therapy can expand your choices while still letting you work with a therapist licensed in New York. You may also want to compare appointment availability, whether a therapist is accepting new clients, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading bios before you book can help you understand each therapist’s communication style, areas of focus, and session structure.
Therapy in Valley Stream can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and get a clearer estimate before your first appointment. Headway helps you search for therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, verify your benefits, and see estimated costs before booking. You can review profiles, compare availability, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you or someone you know is experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms — especially from alcohol or benzodiazepines — talk to a medical provider or seek emergency care before starting outpatient therapy. If you or someone you know is struggling with addiction or substance use and is in a crisis, immediately reach out to:
* 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — call or text 988 * SAMHSA National Helpline — 1-800-662-HELP (4357), free, confidential, 24/7 * Crisis Text Line — text HOME to 741741
If anyone in your family is experiencing or worried about abuse, threats, or coercion, joint family or couples therapy usually isn't the right starting point — individual support is safer. The Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline (1-800-422-4453) and National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788\) can help you think through next steps.
