Hello, and Welcome! My name is Jacqueline Gallo. I look forward to helping you achieve the best possible you!
I genuinely enjoy my work as a psychologist, and feel honored and privileged to be able to help people on their journey toward health, happiness and well-being. I strive to being a good listener, compassionate, respectful and nonjudgmental. I have a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with 23 years experience in private practice during which I saw a great diversity of clientele, each owning a variety of mental health issues. I have specialties in substance use issues, mood and anxiety disorders, sport psychology, as well as grief and life transitions. I work with teens and adults of all ages, and I have a special place in my heart for folks who have served our country in the military and for senior citizens.
Since 2010, Susan Chung has been working in the field of mental health and have provided counseling services for seniors, children, adolescents and adults and seen several hundred cases. Ms. Chung’s expertise is working with individual children, adolescents, adults, and families. Ms. Chung has received her Master of Social Work degree in 2014 at New York University. Besides holding a MSW degree, MS. Chung has received her Master of Public Health (MPH) degree from University of Southern California in 2009.
Currently, Ms. Chung holds a Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW) in New York, New Jersey, and North Carolina states, have several years of supervision experience, and am fluent in Mandarin, Taiwanese, and English.
I’m Dr. Joseph Yanni, a licensed psychologist who works with teenagers, college students, young adults, adults, parents, and families navigating anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, school and college stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I earned my Psy.D. in School Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and continue to work as a school psychologist, supporting students with emotional disabilities in a specialized educational setting. This experience has given me a practical understanding of how emotional, academic, social, family, and developmental concerns often overlap.
I use a collaborative, practical, and integrative approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, humanistic and person-centered therapy, behavioral strategies, and lifestyle-based interventions. I believe therapy should be individualized rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. Together, we work to better understand what is contributing to the concern, build practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, and develop realistic strategies that create meaningful change.
I work especially well with teenagers, college students, young adults, and parents navigating the transition from adolescence into adulthood, while also supporting adults and families facing anxiety, relationship concerns, and other important life challenges. I provide in-person therapy in Scarsdale and Pleasantville, along with virtual therapy throughout New York State.
I'm a licensed psychologist working with adolescents, adults, and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, grief, significant life changes, or challenges with attention and focus. My goal is to offer a safe, affirming space to explore your life, your story, and what matters most to you — your experiences, your values, and where you hope to go. You are a complex, whole person made up of many parts — and there is room here for all of them.
Individuals are their own unique combinations of identities and experiences. I'm a Bangladeshi Muslim American Child of immigrants New Yorker who has interests in mental health advocacy, music, books and dungeons & dragons.I have worked in community education, University counseling center and private practice settings. All of which combine to allow me to draw on multitude of experiences to provide a unique kind of care as a therapist.
I often work with individuals on grief, anxiety, depression, academic and family stress as well as relationship concerns. I look forward to working with you!
I am a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Diagnostic Privilege (LMHC-D), Certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I have experience providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults in individual sessions, couple sessions, family sessions, and group therapy.
I have 25 yrs of experience in a variety of settings including emergency rooms, medical units, long-term care facilities & inpatient mental health units. I have provided hands-on case management, crisis intervention, discharge planning and end-of-life support as well as lead teams in those settings. My goal is to identify client's challenges that cause pain, sadness, frustration, anger and even confusion and help them move forward in living their lives to their fullest potential.
As a seasoned psychotherapist for over 18 years, and as a director of several mental health agencies, my goal is to provide a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship to meet the unique needs of each client. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental and compassionate, space for my clients. Supporting and assisting my clients on their journey to lead a more productive and positive lifestyle.
I am committed to helping clients achieve a richer sense of self and to develop more fulfilling relationships through a supportive and nurturing environment. Ultimately, providing a path to independence, resilience and a more meaningful life.
My role is to help my clients gain clarity by utilizing effective coping strategies and building the tools necessary to cope with and navigate life’s challenges.
I offer a wide range of services to help individuals overcome anxiety, addiction, anger management issues, attachment issues, depression, stress management , phobias and unresolved trauma.
I believe that everyone has within them an abundant reservoir of love. Oftentimes, our access to this force is obscured by the wear and tear of life - traumatic experiences, structural injustices, interpersonal upheaval, moral injury, spiritual confusion... and the defenses we create to survive in response. At With Love Psychotherapy, my goal is to facilitate a homecoming to this force - for individuals and couples - as they work toward creating a life that feels aligned and meaningful. In this work, there is nothing to be ‘fixed’. There is only the intentional movement toward what serves you.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Utica
Searching for therapists in Utica starts with finding someone whose training fits what you want to work on. People often look for counseling in Utica, NY for concerns like anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, stress, or major life changes. As you compare therapists, marriage counselors, counselors, and psychologists in Utica, NY, look for specialties and approaches that match your needs. A therapist’s bio can show whether they use approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, or couples counseling.
In a smaller city like Utica, local appointment options may vary by schedule, specialty, and office location. Virtual therapy can expand your choices while still connecting you with a therapist licensed in New York. You may also want to compare appointment times, whether a therapist is accepting new patients, session format, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before you book can help you understand each therapist’s communication style, focus areas, and what a first session may be like.
Mental health care in Utica can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to lower session costs and make care easier to plan for. Headway helps you find therapists who take your insurance, see estimated out-of-pocket costs before booking, and choose between in-person and virtual sessions. You can browse therapists, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're experiencing or worried about violence, threats, or coercion in your relationship, couples therapy isn't usually the right starting point — individual support is safer. The National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233, or text START to 88788\) can help you think through next steps.
