I work with individuals and couples. I am drawn to those who seek treatment due to shifts in identity, emerging adulthood, and the challenges that come with the inevitable changes in our lives. I particularly enjoy and have experience working with the LGBTO+, trans and non-binary community. Topics in this area could include patients seeking support around gender identity, sexuality, transition-related experiences, family and relationship concerns, and minority stress. I work with patients who may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, uncertain, stuck in old patterns, or unsure how to move through a period of change.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with over 20 years of experience helping individuals restore balance, build resilience, and reconnect with purpose. My approach blends evidence-based therapy with a compassionate, person-centered style that supports clients in navigating stress, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
As a bilingual (English/Spanish) and bicultural therapist, I provide a space where every client feels seen, understood, and empowered to create meaningful change.
Kokoro—a Japanese word meaning “mind, heart, and spirit”—reflects my belief that healing begins when the whole self is engaged with authenticity and intention.
Hi there, I'm Rebecca. Do you feel drained and overwhelmed with life at times? The world we live in today so many natural human experiences have become so overwhelming. Whether it is anxiety, depression, grief, loss, relationships, or substance use disorder, I would like to walk along the path with you.
Are you feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from the people and things you care about? It can be difficult to know where to begin when you're facing changes or persistent challenges. My role is to meet you exactly where you are, whether you are facing grief and loss, relationship conflict, professional stress, or a major life transition. These hardships often bring about cycles of anxiety and depression. Life transitions can be overwhelming. I’m an LCSW, here to walk alongside you as you break through limiting beliefs and move toward a more expansive self. I also have a deep passion for supporting the creative community—understanding the specific emotional highs and lows that come with being an artist, performer, or creative.
My therapeutic style remains flexible and collaborative, focusing on your individual strengths, needs, and motivation. I consider it a privilege to partner with my clients in this work and to be trusted by them as they share their stories. I strive to create a collaborative space for you to share and examine your own behaviors, feelings, and thoughts; for as Cheryl Richardson has noted, “People start to heal the moment the feel heard.”
Therapy isn’t supposed to feel like performance. It’s supposed to feel like relief.
I’m Kristen — a licensed clinical social worker who’s spent over 20 years supporting people through transitions, overwhelm, and deep life work. I live in South Portland, Maine with my family, and I understand firsthand the emotional labor, coordination, and internal pressure that come with being a capable, high-achieving woman and mother.
As someone who is neurodivergent myself, I intimately understand the cost of masking — and what it takes to stop performing and start feeling and living.
I am an LCPC and hold an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Southern Maine. I have provided counseling for individuals for 14 years. Previously I worked as a mental health case manager in CT, MA and ME for 15 years. I have advanced training in psychosocial rehabilitation working with individuals with disabilities and have extensive training and experience working with anxiety and depression utilizing a strengths-based humanistic approach.
If you have been carrying grief, anxiety, relationship strain, or a substance use pattern that
keeps pulling you back, you deserve a space to set it all down without judgment. For more than
10 years I have worked with people navigating mental health and substance use concerns, and
for over 20 years I advocated alongside people with disabilities who needed access to the care
and programs that were already theirs. I bring that same commitment to our sessions. My focus
is family systems, trauma recovery, and building boundaries that genuinely hold.
I have provided therapy in a variety of settings and agencies. I understand that giving space to what you want to share is important for you to feel comfortable and get the help you are looking for
Hi, my name is Stanford.
Percy Ford, MC, LPC-MHSP established Lighthouse Correctional Counseling and Mental Health Services in 2012 to provide Individual Psychotherapy, Family Counseling, Group Therapy and Couples Counseling to offenders and their families. Mr. Ford earned a BS in Social Work from Tuskegee University in 1997 and graduated from Argosy University School of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences in 2007 with a MA in Professional Counseling.
I have always had a passion for helping others, and know from experience what a difference it makes finding the right counselor. Through my career I have worked with a diverse group of adults and adolescents across the US. I bring 8 years of knowledge, compassion, and experience to our sessions. I can't wait to get started with you!
I graduated with a Bachelors in Science in Recreation from Green Mountain College and then went on to get my Masters in Social Work from the University of Vermont. I have been licensed since 2012 but have been working in the industry in different capacities since 2003. My career has taken me down different paths allowing me to work in residential treatment, wilderness therapy, as a school social worker, in community mental health, as a hospital social worker (working in the ICU, medical surgical unit, and ER), and now working at Stable Connections, providing equine assisted treatments.
