Hello! I have a Masters of Education in Counseling and Human Development and have been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2002, with Supervisory status (2020). I am also a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and have been since 1993. I am dedicated to fostering peace, respect, and healing within individuals and families. I am nurturing, patient and non-judgmental to help create a supportive environment where challenges can be addressed. I am a vocal advocate for children, teenagers, and adults. I have worked in psychiatric hospitals, RTC's, with TYC, private practice (all ages for individuals and families) and MHMR (focus on crisis counseling for children and teenagers). I have over 20 years of experience in diverse setting, including high acuity out patient psychiatric care, crisis intervention and relapse prevention as well as family centered psychiatric care. I combine evidence based practice with patient approach to treatment. My focus is on MOOD DISORDERS, ANXIETY, DEPRESSION AND ADHD and offer medication management as well as supportive psychotherapy and pychoeducation. I help to empowre individual on their recovery journey in a stigma free environment. I am committed to accessible quality mental health to all.

I enjoy teaching social work and providing social work services. I believe that social work is a calling and therefore, I am being called to serve.

I obtained a bachelor's in Social Work at Prairie View A & M University and a Masters in Social Work at the University of Houston. I am a native Houstonian, and bilingual (Spanish/English.)
