I strive to empower clients to regain a sense of agency in their health and well‐being. With more than 30 years as a therapist, I understand that creating meaningful change can be both challenging and deeply rewarding. My role is to support you through that process with clarity, compassion, and tools that help you move toward the life you desire.
Lifelong curiosity is key to my work as a therapist, with five years of experience providing counseling support for individuals and families and over a decade as an educator. There is nothing I love more than learning about people and helping to provide space for them to express themselves authentically.
I hold so much respect for anyone seeking therapeutic support for themselves or a loved one. My own mental health journey inspired me to help others, so know that I have been where you are. I am so grateful someone was looking out for me and encouraging this kind of care when I needed it most. That support proved invaluable for me, which is why I am so passionate about working with individuals exploring therapy for the first time. Taking that first step is not always easy, but I firmly believe the effort and vulnerability you put into this work is rewarded with meaningful growth.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Mental Health Therapist in Cedar Park, TX
Searching for therapists in Cedar Park starts with knowing what kind of support you want and which therapist experience fits your needs. People look for therapy for many reasons, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, and life transitions. As you compare Cedar Park therapists, review the specialties listed in each profile and look for training that matches what you want to focus on. A therapist may mention approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, or trauma-informed care, which can help you understand how they structure sessions.
Cedar Park is a smaller market near the North Austin area, so local in-person options may be more limited than in a larger city. Virtual therapy can expand your choices while still letting you work with a therapist licensed in Texas. Consider practical factors like appointment availability, scheduling flexibility, whether a therapist is accepting new patients, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading therapist bios before booking can also help you compare communication style, areas of focus, and what to expect in a first session.
Therapy in Cedar Park can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand your expected out-of-pocket cost before you book. Headway helps you search for therapists in Cedar Park, TX who match your preferences, accept a wide range of insurance plans, and show real-time availability. You can verify your benefits, review profiles, and book directly when you’re ready.
