Hi, I’m a licensed professional counselor and the founder of Transformed Therapy in Houston, TX. Since 2008, I’ve been walking alongside individuals, and families as they navigate anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, spiritual concerns, and major life transitions. While I work with men and women, as well as children and teens, a large part of my work is focused on helping men who are facing internal battles—feeling stuck, burned out, disconnected, or unsure of how to lead well in their families, careers, and personal lives.
Whether you're carrying stress silently, dealing with anger or shame, questioning your purpose, or struggling to be the individual you want to be, I provide a place where you can be honest, real, and heard. My approach is practical, faith-centered, and grounded in personal accountability, growth, and grace.
Before launching Transformed Therapy, I served as Director at Memorial Christian Counseling Center and CEO at Integrative Mental Health Solutions, leading crisis response teams across Houston. I also spent 11 years in full-time ministry as a youth and outreach minister, which deeply shaped my commitment to soul care and spiritual restoration.
I hold a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas and a BA in Philosophy from UT Arlington. When I’m not in session, I’m spending time outdoors with my wife and our five kids—camping, fishing, gardening, or simply enjoying God's creation.
If you're ready to step into change—whether it’s for your mental health, your marriage, your faith, or your identity—I’d be honored to walk with you.

Virtual & in-person • 12 mi away • Pearland, TX
Welcome! I'm Dr. Ben Osevwe, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with more than 22 years of experience in mental health care, including over 4.5 years as a PMHNP. I founded Solid Foundation Psychiatry with one mission: to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and personalized psychiatric care that empowers individuals to live healthier, more fulfilling lives.
I work with adolescents and adults ages 12 through 90, providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy. I believe that effective mental health treatment goes beyond prescribing medication. Every visit is an opportunity to listen, educate, collaborate, and develop a treatment plan that reflects your unique goals, values, and life circumstances.
My clinical interests include ADHD, depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, autism spectrum disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), insomnia, mood disorders, and other psychiatric conditions. Whether you're seeking help for the first time or have struggled with symptoms for years, I strive to create a safe, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns.
I provide both in-person psychiatric care in Pearland, Texas, serving the greater Houston area, and telepsychiatry to patients in states where I am licensed. My approach combines evidence-based medication management with psychotherapy and lifestyle recommendations.
My philosophy is simple: Every person deserves to be heard, treated with dignity, and given the tools to thrive. I believe healing begins with a trusting relationship, open communication, and a treatment plan tailored to your individual needs.
It is a privilege to be part of your mental health journey, and I look forward to partnering with you to help you build resilience, restore hope, and achieve lasting emotional wellness.
I specialize in working with adults navigating trauma, chronic pain, and ADHD. These challenges can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure of how to move forward. I know firsthand how intimidating and overwhelming the journey can be. That’s why I’m committed to walking alongside you as a compassionate guide offering tools, empathy, and a safe space for you to explore your past, present, and the future you want to create.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Pasadena, TX
Searching for therapists in Pasadena starts with knowing what kind of support you want from therapy. People look for therapy for many reasons, including anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, life transitions, and work stress. As you compare Pasadena therapists, look for someone whose training and listed specialties match your needs. Provider bios can also show whether a therapist uses approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, or other methods that may fit what you’re looking for.
Pasadena is a smaller market within the Houston area, so local in-person therapy options may vary by neighborhood, schedule, and office location. Virtual therapy can expand your search while keeping care with a therapist licensed in Texas. Some people prefer meeting in an office, while others choose virtual sessions for more flexibility. When narrowing your options, check whether a therapist is accepting new patients, offers appointment times that fit your calendar, and provides a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before booking can help you understand a therapist’s communication style, session structure, and areas of focus.
Therapy in Pasadena can be a significant cost without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to lower your session costs and understand what you may pay before you begin care. Headway helps you search for Pasadena therapy by insurance, specialty, location, availability, and session format. You can review therapist bios, see estimated costs after entering your insurance details, and book directly when you’re ready.
