Healing and growth can be challenging, and you don’t have to do it alone. Whether you’re feeling the weight of past experiences or facing challenges in your relationship, we offer a warm, welcoming space for relational psychotherapy where you can be honest about what you’re carrying and feel fully supported. Our work is grounded in relational and attachment-focused therapy with attention to somatic awareness.
We focus on what matters most—the moments that spark insight, the conversations that feel necessary but tough, and the steps that help you move forward. Together, we will process what has been difficult, nurture your connection with yourself, and deepen your bond with the people who matter most.
When we feel othered, alone, or hopeless — it's hard to ask for help. Talking to a therapist can help you feel like yourself again. I help my clients discover the root of their concerns through storytelling, reflecting on their values and desires, and understanding in what ways they’ve adapted to being in the world.
I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist who works with Individual adults and adolescents, many of whom identify as LGBTQ+. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and questions of identity. I have an MSW degree from NYU, where I interned with a psychoanalytic institute. I also earned a BA in Philosophy from The New School.
I have been in private practice as a psychologist for the past 30+ years and I can honestly say that I remain passionate about and dedicated to the work that I do as a therapist. I have a BA in Psychology and Human Biology from Stanford University and a Masters in Public Health from Yale University. My doctorate in Clinical Psychology is from The Graduate Center, C.U.N.Y and I completed training as a psychoanalyst at the NYU Program in Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.
I am a licensed clinical and forensic psychologist in New York State, with more than 30 years of experience in mental health, psychological assessment, trauma recovery, and public safety wellness. Born in the Bronx and raised in Queens, New York, I developed a deep appreciation for the resilience, diversity, and strengths of the communities I have served throughout my career.
My approach to therapy is integrative, trauma-informed, evidence-based, and person-centered. I believe effective treatment begins with understanding the whole person—not simply their symptoms. Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), mindfulness-based interventions, and insight-oriented approaches, I work collaboratively with clients to develop greater self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and create meaningful and lasting change.
I strive to provide a safe, respectful, and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns openly and honestly.
Whether someone is seeking help for anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, life transitions, relationship difficulties, occupational challenges, or personal growth, my goal is to help them build resilience, enhance well-being, and develop a greater sense of purpose, meaning, and fulfillment in their lives.
Clients often tell me they appreciate my calm, thoughtful, and non-judgmental presence. I work collaboratively and at a reflective pace, creating a space where you can explore emotions and creativity without pressure to perform or “get it right.” Music is always an invitation, not a requirement. My goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and more connected to yourself.
Hi there and welcome!
My priority is supporting clients on their journeys towards personal healing & growth.
In 2010, I received my MSW/LMSW. While doing outpatient clinical work at the NYC non-profit agency JBFCS, I became an LCSW. In 2016, I began to establish my private psychotherapy practice, focusing on young and professional adults presenting with a broad variety of life challenges.

Find the right therapist for you

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Mental Health Therapist in Nanuet, NY
Searching for therapists in Nanuet starts with finding someone whose experience matches what you want support with. Therapists often list specialties such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, trauma, work stress, and life transitions. As you compare options, look for training, listed specialties, and therapy approaches that fit your needs, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, or trauma-informed care.
In a smaller city like Nanuet, nearby in-person availability may vary, so virtual therapy can give you more options while staying connected to a New York-licensed therapist. Consider practical details like appointment times, whether a therapist is accepting new patients, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. If you are searching for a therapist with evening hours near me, review each therapist’s availability and bio to understand their schedule, communication style, and what a first session may look like.
Therapy in Nanuet can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and make care easier to plan for. Headway helps you find therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, view estimated out-of-pocket costs before booking, read detailed bios, and book directly when you are ready.
