Welcome! I am a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in the treatment of a wide array of mental health difficulties. People come to me with relationship problems, work issues, stress and other life challenges. In addition, I see individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma and other more serious disorders. I bring warmth, intelligence and an easy going manner to everyone I see. Reach out and let's see if I'm the right fit for you.
Hi there and welcome!
My priority is supporting clients on their journeys towards personal healing & growth.
In 2010, I received my MSW/LMSW. While doing outpatient clinical work at the NYC non-profit agency JBFCS, I became an LCSW. In 2016, I began to establish my private psychotherapy practice, focusing on young and professional adults presenting with a broad variety of life challenges.
I’m Dr. Joseph Yanni, a licensed psychologist who works with teenagers, college students, young adults, adults, parents, and families navigating anxiety, ADHD, emotional regulation, school and college stress, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I earned my Psy.D. in School Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University and continue to work as a school psychologist, supporting students with emotional disabilities in a specialized educational setting. This experience has given me a practical understanding of how emotional, academic, social, family, and developmental concerns often overlap.
I use a collaborative, practical, and integrative approach that draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, humanistic and person-centered therapy, behavioral strategies, and lifestyle-based interventions. I believe therapy should be individualized rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. Together, we work to better understand what is contributing to the concern, build practical coping skills, strengthen relationships, and develop realistic strategies that create meaningful change.
I work especially well with teenagers, college students, young adults, and parents navigating the transition from adolescence into adulthood, while also supporting adults and families facing anxiety, relationship concerns, and other important life challenges. I provide in-person therapy in Scarsdale and Pleasantville, along with virtual therapy throughout New York State.
It's very difficult to be in stressful situations that can cause lots of anxiety and self-doubt. Perhaps you're looking for something more than advice from family and friends. If you're looking for a warm and inviting counseling atmosphere, I am eager to work with you to develop effective coping skills and a greater self-awareness to reach your full potential. Together, you and I can work to set goals that are appropriate and attainable for you, at your pace. For therapy to be effective for you, I work hard to build genuine and long lasting trust.
I have experience working with clients who have suffered from anxiety, depression, and marital issues. Additionally, I believe that cultural factors are critical to the way we navigate through life. I work hard to address cultural matters, to understand how these may impact our perception of the world.
Call me for a free consultation where we can discuss your needs and goals. For your convenience, I offer online counseling. También, ofrezco servicios en español. Llamame para discutir tus metas.
My name is Melissa Salce, and I’m a Licensed Therapist in New York. Over the past nine years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals facing a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, personal growth, and life transitions.
I’m a formerly harsh self-critic and PhD psychologist with 30+ years of experience. I blend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindful Self-Compassion. If you struggle with depression, anxiety, low self-esteem or relationship problems, I’m here to help.
Through therapy, you'll learn to stop judging yourself so harshly, let go of guilt, shame and blame, and treat yourself with the same kindness you show others. I help you believe in yourself and take action, even when you’re feeling anxious.
Hi, I’m Yitzchok Wagshul. One day, my young grandson asked me what kind of doctor I am. I’m a clinical psychologist, so I replied, “I’m the kind of doctor who helps sad people feel happy.” He looked at me and said, “Zaidy,” (that’s “Grandpa” in Yiddish) "that’s not being a doctor, that’s just being nice!” That’s a cute story, but I want to tell you something: the better part of therapy is “being nice.” I know a lot of psychology. But if I didn’t respect each person I work with, if I didn’t view them with complete acceptance and unconditional positive regard, all of that would be worthless, because no one would listen to me.
I'm a therapist trained in Psychoanalysis and Creative Arts Therapies with twenty years years of experience.
I have experience working with depression, anxiety, addiction, relationship issues, sexual difficulties, trauma, loss, end of life issues, and coping with medical illness. My practice is diverse in terms of culture, race, and sexual orientation. I offer online telehealth in NY and CT. Please reach out with any further questions or to make an appointment.

Factors to Consider When Choosing an Anxiety Therapist in Farmingdale, NY
Searching for therapists in Farmingdale starts with knowing what kind of support fits your needs. You may be looking for help with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, grief, work stress, or a life transition. As you compare therapists, look for training and listed specialties that match what you want to address. A therapist’s bio can also show their approach, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-informed care, or support for specific life stages.
In a smaller community like Farmingdale, nearby in-person options may be more limited than in larger New York cities. Virtual therapy can expand your choices while still connecting you with a therapist licensed in New York. You can also narrow your search by appointment availability, whether a therapist is accepting new patients, session format, and whether they offer a free phone consultation. Reading profiles before booking can help you understand how a therapist structures sessions and what working together may be like.
Therapy in Farmingdale can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before care begins. Headway helps you compare therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, review estimated out-of-pocket costs, and book directly when you’re ready.
