I’m Dr. Daniela De Medeiros, a clinical psychologist in Miami with over a decade of experience working with teens and adults from all walks of life. I work with people navigating anxiety, panic disorder, depression, ADHD, trauma, low self-esteem, grief, life transitions, identity, family conflict, relationship struggles, women’s issues, and the emotional weight of chronic illness and chronic pain. I hold a doctoral degree in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) and a master’s in mental health counseling, with specialized training in health psychology. I’m also trilingual and conduct sessions in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Most people who find me are exhausted, a little unsure therapy will even help, and carrying more than they let anyone see. You don’t have to have it all figured out to start.

My name is Romy Rodriguez and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have worked with various populations with mental health and substance abuse struggles. I also provided Trauma Focused Therapy to adolescents and their families who lived in the shelter and were in the court system. This job is very rewarding and I am blessed to be included in the journey of many wonderful individuals.

My approach to mental health care is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based. I believe in treating the whole person — not just symptoms. Every patient receives individualized care tailored to their personal goals, medical history, and life circumstances.

I am an experienced psychotherapist in private practice for 15 years. I provide couples, family and individual therapy. As a couples therapist, I see couples that have destructive unhealthy and ineffective commuication patterns. Their inability to communicate effectively will lead to further deterioration with unresolved conflicts in their relationship, I also work with individual's who experience Anxiety, and depression. I have more than 30 years of experience in the behavioral health field and have been in private practice since 2003. I work with adults, older adults, adolescents, individuals, and families who are navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, grief, stress, relationship challenges, ADHD, anger, impulse control, substance use concerns, cultural or ethnic issues, and major life transitions. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology in Cuba in 1982 and later completed my Master’s degree at Florida International University in 1998. My background has shaped a warm, culturally sensitive, and practical approach to therapy.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult at first. My goal is to help clients feel safe, respected, and supported as they take that courageous first step toward feeling better and becoming a healthier version of themselves.

I am a Salvadoran-American Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides individual, family and group therapy in English and Spanish. I received my Master of Social Work from Columbia University and have had the privilege of empowering clients for over 12 years. I also love to teach and serve as Adjunct Faculty at FIU School of Social Work.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, listening to podcasts and stand-up comedy, dancing Zumba, and reading fiction.
