Hello. My name is Julie and I am a licensed mental health counselor. In addition to working in WA state in a clinic setting, I have spent five years in Singapore working as a social/emotional counselor in a large international high school. In that role, I supported students and families from over 75 countries in the world. That helps me to view counseling from an inclusive and culturally sensitive space. I now make my home in the beautiful PNW and am excited to ground my practice here.

I love the work that I do and the healing relationships I have been able to foster with my clients. I believe that therapy is a form of self-care and I want to be an advocate of that for my clients. I welcome anyone who thinks they may want some support, whether long-term or short-term to reach out to me and set up a brief phone consultation.
For more than twenty years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside adolescents, adults, and couples during some of the most difficult and meaningful seasons of their lives. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood and respected. My approach is down to earth, compassionate, and focused on helping you feel safer, calmer and more confident in your life. Together, we'll work at your pace to explore what's getting in the way and build practical tools that truly help. You don't have to do this alone.
I enjoy learning about ways we can change and understand our human existence. We are thinking, feeling and doing beings. Cognitive behavioral therapy provides a framework to identify ways to do it differently and better. Trauma treatment modalities like EMDR may support processing neurological and physiological reactions and being able to feel secure and safe while staying connected to others more fully. Our story is just that; we write it and edit it. We get to choose the chapters and path of our lives, through the unknowns, mysteries and celebrations.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy, and I'm deeply passionate about supporting women through life’s major transitions- especially perimenopause and menopause.
Perimenopause is a common experience, yet so many women feel entirely unprepared for how disruptive symptoms such as mood shifts, brain fog and insomnia can be. Infertility, post-partum adjustments and parenting can also present unique challenges. My goal is to help you move through these transitions with growth, empowerment and vibrancy.
