Hi! I’m Brenda Nettey! I have a deep passion for walking alongside individuals on their healing journeys. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, religion/spirituality, grief, self-esteem, and life transitions.
My personal journey was not one I would choose. My first husband was diagnosed with cancer in September 2004 and died in February 2006. The experience of spousal caregiving and young widowhood, and 10 years as a federal Special Agent eventually led me to change careers to become a counselor.
I love helping individuals and couples build meaning, self-acceptance, and self-worth despite grief, trauma, shame, and problematic behavior and relationship patterns.
I have been a therapist for over 50 years. I have a great deal of experience and have been in my own therapy so I know both sides of therapy. I am a Masters Level Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Four years ago I was exposed to Richard Schwartz and fell in love with his Internal Family Systems Model. I felt this is the model I’ve been looking for all my life. That’s the model I use in working with clients.
I am a wife and mother of two children ages 12 and 14 yo and two dogs. I have lived in DC Metropolitan area for most of my life. I have experienced acculturation and loss of a parent due to cancer. I was raised amongst entrepreneurs, politicians, doctors and lawyers. Despite the challenges, I've found common grounds with people from all walks of life.
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 20 years of experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, and trauma. I use an evidence-based, collaborative approach including DBT and somatic-informed methods. I work exclusively via tele-health and am licensed in Virginia. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely heard and can build the skills to live more fully.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in relationship patterns, or trying to make sense of experiences that have shaped you, therapy can help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface and create meaningful change. I’m a licensed clinical psychologist in Virginia with a PsyD in clinical psychology, and I work with adults navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, trauma, OCD, and ADHD. I specialize in helping people understand patterns that may have developed as ways of coping but are no longer serving them.
I believe you shouldn’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. My experience across outpatient, inpatient, and community mental health settings has given me a broad perspective on care and the ability to meet people where they are. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, navigating a difficult relationship, processing past experiences, or feeling stuck in patterns you don’t fully understand, we’ll work together to make sense of what’s happening and identify meaningful ways forward. My goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely understood while also feeling supported and gently challenged to grow. If you’re looking for a therapist who will take the time to understand the bigger picture, not just your symptoms, I’d be glad to help you better understand yourself, your relationships, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.
Hi, I’m Bethany Hagy, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with about six years of experience working with children, teens, and adults. I earned my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University in May 2021.
I work with clients ages 6 through adulthood, supporting a wide range of concerns including trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, anger, impulse control, relationship challenges, and life or career transitions. Whether you’re navigating something specific or just feeling stuck, I aim to meet you where you are.
At the core of my work is the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and supported. I strive to be a voice for those who feel like they don’t have one and a steady presence for those who need someone in their corner.
I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions to make therapy as accessible and comfortable as possible.
