I am a PhD level Clinical Social Worker and have been providing counseling to individuals, couples, and families for over 30 years. I see therapy as a shared journey and strive to create a warm, collaborative atmosphere. Some areas of specialization include mood and anxiety disorders, relationship issues, faith crises, and abuse/trauma.
I specialize in medication management for mental health. As a Nurse Practitioner board certified in both Psychiatric Mental Health and as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I have been trained to view the whole person when determining treatment.
I have been in the mental health industry since 2005. I launched into this career as a mental health professional eager to learn and excited to make an impact in our society and culture. I have been blessed to learn so many different modalities that truly bring healing to those who are willing to risk vulnerability and live to their greatest potential. On this journey I have been able to work with a variety of ages and backgrounds. They have all one thing in common- finding their way back to their authentic selves. I am blessed to have been able to accompany so many people on their healing journeys.
My therapeutic style is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices. I am highly trained, deeply dedicated to my clients, and committed to providing effective care that creates real, lasting change. I believe therapy should feel both supportive and practical, offering not only understanding but also tools that you can use in your everyday life.
I'm passionate about how therapy has changed my life, and I hope it can do the same for you. My approach is person-centered and collaborative to create a safe space where you can express your thoughts and feelings free of judgment. Life is difficult at times, and change can feel overwhelming. I look forward to walking with you on this journey.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over five years of experience in the mental health field. I began my career working directly with adolescent girls in a residential setting. This experience shaped my passion for creating safe and supportive spaces where people feel seen, understood, and valued. I later earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Kentucky and have worked across inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings with both adolescents and adults.
Throughout my career, I have supported clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, substance use, and other behavioral health challenges. My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and person-centered, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as CBT and DBT while also incorporating attachment theory, somatic-informed interventions, and other approaches tailored to each individual.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to create a space where you can be honest, feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences, and also feel empowered to make meaningful changes. My goal is to meet you where you are while helping you better understand yourself, build lasting tools for coping and connection, and move toward the life you want to create.
As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) with over 16 years of healthcare experience, I believe healing starts with feeling safe, heard, and understood. My own life experiences, combined with my clinical training, have shaped the compassionate, whole-person approach I bring to every client. I provide evidence-based care for anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood disorders, and other mental health concerns while working collaboratively to help you reach your goals.
A few things I want you to know before you even schedule: I work with a lot of people who have tried therapy before and felt like it didn't really go anywhere. Other's are coming in for the first time and feeling equal parts skeptical and hopeful. Both are completely fine starting points.
I specialize in anxiety, trauma, ADHD, and emotional regulation - including work with teens and adults dealing with BPD or bipolar. I use EMDR for trauma processing, DBT for building real-world coping skills, and trauma-focused CBT when thinking patterns are part of what's keeping someone stuck. I don't use any one approach for everyone, because everyone is different.
I'm a Utah LCSW and I work entirely via telehealth, which means I can see clients anywhere in Utah - whether that's Salt Lake City or Tooele County or somewhere in between.
Travis believes in a healthy therapeutic relationship built on trust to help individuals and families achieve their goals.
