I believe that healthy change starts from within and my role is to be a guide during this process. Often times we feel we are stuck in a rut with no way out, but together we'll work on building self-empowerment, better self-care, and self-awareness. No matter what you're going through there's always room to learn and grow from the past to make a better future. I specialize in anxiety disorders, trauma and PTSD, and building self-confidence. I'm also trained in Brainspotting.
I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker who values the client-therapist relationship. I have five years of experience working with teens and adults and 12 years working in behavioral health. I value each person's unique story and needs.
You're here because something needs to change, and that takes courage. I specialize in working with teens and adults navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, and life's major transitions. This is built on a simple truth: you already have the answers inside you; sometimes you just need help accessing them. I don't believe in focusing solely on the past or offering surface-level advice. Instead, we'll acknowledge what happened, understand how it shaped you, then focus our energy on building the life you actually want. This is your journey, I'm just here to walk alongside you, challenge you when needed, and remind you of your own power.
Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, parenting a teenager, exploring adoption, or simply facing everyday challenges, you don’t have to do it alone. With 15 years of social work experience, I’m here to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered as you move toward the life you want to build.

Hi! My name is Lidia. I've been a therapist for 16 years. I obtained my Master's Degree from New Mexico Highlands University. I have many years of experience working with individuals, children, teens, families and couples.
You don’t have to carry everything on your own. I'm here to help! I work with helping professionals, first responders, military-connected individuals, couples, and families. My specialty is supporting people who are often the strong ones for everyone else but are beginning to feel tired, overwhelmed, disconnected, or who are simply ready for something to change. My best hope is to offer a place where you can feel understood, be fully yourself, and then get back to the work and relationships that matter most to you. I also offer clinical supervision for counselors who want a supportive place to grow.
I am a double board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience across the continuum of psychiatric care, including acute psychiatric emergencies, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, geriatric mental health, intellectual and developmental disability services, and healthcare management. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and am currently completing my Doctorate, reflecting my ongoing commitment to clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, and lifelong learning.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals and families navigating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, from situational anxiety and depression to severe and persistent mental illness. My clinical experience includes extensive work with schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma-related conditions, and mood instability across the lifespan. I am particularly experienced in caring for geriatric patients, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and patients with complex medication regimens requiring careful evaluation, simplification, and long-term stabilization.
I also work closely with college-aged patients and adults who are navigating academic pressure, career transitions, family dynamics, identity development, and the cumulative stressors that can emerge during periods of high responsibility or change. Many of my patients are high-functioning individuals who appear “put together” on the outside but struggle internally with anxiety, rumination, intrusive thoughts, emotional dysregulation, or burnout. Others are managing chronic psychiatric illness while striving to maintain independence, relationships, and quality of life.
In a world that too often depersonalizes healthcare, Dr. Sparks is committed to keeping the human and humane in healthcare. She is committed to individualized, relationship-based care despite the wider shift toward an impersonal, system-driven approach. You are unique. Your care should also be. Dr. Sparks is a doctorally prepared psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner as well as a therapist. She has a wide toolkit and based on patient preference she may prescribe medications, supplements, and/or lifestyle interventions. Sessions may include brief therapeutic support as well.
I believe that everyone has the ability to create a life that is meaningful and fulfilling. I have been in healthcare for over 40 years and a practicing psychologist for almost 30 years. I am now currently focusing my practice on adults that want to discover more about themselves and are willing to do the work to overcome negative patterns of thinking and implement strategies for enhancing positive thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
I have a mission. That mission is to recognize and enhance the unique brilliance in every person with whom I have contact. That includes you. It is my desire to assist you to move toward a deeper and more satisfying connection with yourself and the world around you.
