I believe healing happens when you feel truly seen, safe, and supported. My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I want therapy to be a space where you can be yourself, make sense of your experiences, and explore what you’re going through at your own pace without judgment.
I specialize in working with adults who are navigating the lasting effects of past trauma, including early attachment wounds, parentification, and growing up with a parent who experienced mental health challenges. I also support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and personality-related concerns. Together, we’ll work toward understanding your emotions, recognizing patterns that may be holding you back, and developing practical tools to help you feel more grounded and in control.
My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, build healthier and more fulfilling relationships, and create a life that feels meaningful and authentic to you. Therapy doesn’t have to be about “fixing” who you are- it can be about understanding yourself more deeply and learning how to move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and peace.

My first clinical life, I provided in home behavior management training to families with children with developmental disorders.
Secondly, I provided individual and group therapy for neglected/abused teenagers in residential care.
Thirdly, I provided therapy to clients, in a community based practice.
Number four involved working as a therapist for the Aspergers Department of a CMHC.
My fifth/current journey began in 2013, providing therapy and clinical supervision.
My name is Caroline and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) online in New Jersey and Florida. I have experience working with AuDHD, the LGBTQ+ community, anxiety, depression, and self-discovery.
I enjoy working with a variety of people who have diverse lifestyles and cultural backgrounds. My clients find me to be compassionate, supportive, and challenging when needed. I believe in building on your strengths to help you find wellness and overcome any obstacles that hold you back from achieving your life goals.
Many people come to therapy when life feels heavy, confusing, or stuck. You may long for change but feel unsure of how to move forward. My work is about gently opening space for healing and growth by deepening the quality of your relationships. Relationships can involve your experience with yourself and others and may include food, sexuality, your body, work, or money. Through a holistic, trauma-informed lens, I help people soften painful patterns, honor their stories, and create new ways of relating and adapt these approaches to neurodivergent clients. Together, we can explore how the past has shaped you, tend to the hurts that remain, and nurture the parts of you ready to grow. My role is to walk beside you, offering curiosity, compassion, and guidance, as you navigate challenges, discover new possibilities, and begin to enjoy the adventure of your life again.
Do you feel like you’ve been surviving, but are longing to truly start living? Are you seeking deeper self-awareness and alignment in your mind, body, and spirit?
My name is Nia and I am an Integrative Somatic and Mental Health Therapist, Herbalist, and “emotional translator” dedicated to helping individuals reconnect with themselves and live their most purposeful lives.
At the core of my work is presence. To truly see and support my clients, I ground myself in connection—allowing space for individuals to feel seen, heard, and understood in ways they may never have before. Through nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and exploration of unmet needs across life’s domains, I guide clients from reactivity toward balance, alignment, and empowerment.
I work best with individuals who are in a place of stabilization and are ready to deepen their self-awareness, strengthen their sense of empowerment, and step into their fullest expression. Together, we will explore your roots, cultivate resilience, and create the conditions for growth, healing, and self-actualization.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in New Jersey
Searching for therapists in New Jersey starts with finding the right fit for your needs, location, and schedule. Across the state, therapy options can vary between urban, suburban, and rural areas, so it helps to look for a therapist whose listed specialties match what you want support with. That may include anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, or life transitions. You can also look for training in approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or acceptance and commitment therapy.
Your search may look different in Newark, Jersey City, Trenton, South Jersey, or a smaller New Jersey community. Some people prefer an in-person therapist close to home or work, while others choose virtual sessions for more scheduling options. Beyond specialty, review whether a therapist is accepting new patients, offers appointment times that fit your calendar, and provides a free phone consultation. Reading therapist profiles can help you understand their style, areas of focus, and what a first session may include before you book.
The cost of therapy in New Jersey can vary, and using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs. Headway helps you search for licensed therapists who are accepting new patients, see estimated out-of-pocket costs before booking, and compare virtual or in-person options in one place. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and you can enter your insurance details to confirm coverage for your specific plan and location. Browse therapists, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
