I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University, where I focused on systems theory and narrative practice. Over the years, I’ve worked with diverse populations supporting clients through challenges such as relationship transitions, trauma recovery, and identity exploration.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC016639) in the state of Georgia and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (MH22156) in the state of Florida. I've worked in a variety of settings, such as psychiatric hospitals, crisis stabilization units, community agencies and college campuses. My clients have a wide range in age, gender, sexual orientation, faith, education level, ethnicity, and cultural background. In my practice, I like to focus on life transitions, whether it's leaving a job, becoming a parent, or starting college.

As a clinical social worker, I know mental health care is a critical part of building a fulfilling life. It can feel really vulnerable taking the first step towards this work but I firmly believe asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Throughout my career I have worked with people navigating challenging stressors from a traumatic event to adjusting to a new job. I continue to focus on adults working through these experiences and difficulties managing symptoms of anxiety and depression.

My therapeutic style is to ask a lot of questions and really try to find the answers to what is bothering you. In our sessions, you will cry, laugh, talk excessively or talk a little. Our sessions will be all about you and what you need in the moment. I want our sessions to be a safe place for you to be comfortable. Bring your treats and your tissues. Bring your patience and your strength. We will be together and I will support you when you are feeling weak. Usually, I see what makes you special first. You will need to tell me what is wrong.

My goal is to help you recognize your own goals, while working efficiently through challenges. I am accepting of all clients and additionally work with male and female children, teens and adults from Black, Brown, Caribbean and immigrant communities. Carrying around a heavy feeling, losing sleep or struggling to cope can be daunting for anyone. I treat anxiety, depression, trauma, anger management, ADHD and life transitions?
