I will be your partner and guide in your journey of self discovery and self acceptance. I will listen , truly hear and see you and support the goals you want to achieve.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that patients deserve to be heard. I am committed to providing thoughtful, collaborative mental health care where patients feel supported, respected and empowered throughout their journey toward mental wellness. I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, supportive therapy and evidence-based interventions for conditions including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma related concerns and life stressors. I have ten years of experience working in the mental health field in inpatient, outpatient residential, long-term care, tele-health and community mental health settings.
I am a caring and supportive therapist with 10 years of experience helping people navigate mental health and substance use challenges. I have worked with individuals in both clinical and hospital settings, supporting people through difficult and often stressful times in their lives.
My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and respected. I work with each person as an individual and believe that therapy should be a place where you can talk openly, understand yourself better, develop healthy coping skills, and work toward the changes you want to make.
Whether you are struggling with your mental health, substance use, life changes, relationships, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you don't have to face it alone. I am here to listen, support you, and work with you toward your goals.
Here's the thing I've learned after years of doing this work, and living it myself: you don't need to have it all figured out before you show up. I grew up dealing with my own anxiety, trauma and stress, and I remember what it felt like not having anyone to really talk to. That's a big part of why I do this. I wanted to be the person I needed back then, for my patients now. I hold a doctorate in psychiatric mental health nursing and spent years in outpatient care getting to know the struggles that are so easy to hide and so hard to carry alone. These days I work with adults across Connecticut via telehealth, focused on anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and the everyday weight that builds up. My approach is simple: to give you a space to be yourself and work with you toward something that actually feels better.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University. My background includes both hospital social work and correctional mental health.
I’ve spent much of my career helping people and families navigate some of life’s most difficult moments—from medical crises and unexpected trauma to serious illness, end-of-life decisions, and mental health challenges. In hospital settings, including the Emergency Department and ICU, I often helped families navigate overwhelming situations, connect with resources, and advocate for themselves and their loved ones.
Working in a COVID ICU especially shaped how I understand stress, trauma, family systems, and empathy. It taught me that when one person is struggling, the entire family can be affected.
I later brought that experience into correctional mental health, where I provide counseling, crisis intervention, assessment, and support.
I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma/PTSD, depression, grief, life transitions, and family stress.I bring both professional experience and a very human perspective to therapy, with the goal of creating a space where you can feel understood, supported, and comfortable being yourself.
I am currently accepting clients for telehealth appointments. I am an experienced clinician in the field of social work. I provide confidential, competent and caring psychotherapy. If you have a current specific issue or concern that you would like to discuss with a supportive professional, let's set up a free 15 minute consultation. I work with people who experience depression, anxiety, grief/loss, acute stress, trauma, and stress management in adults over 18 years of age. I most often utilize cognitive behavioral, cognitive processing, acceptance commitment, and gestalt theories. I believe mindfulness can help support and guide the process.
Whether you're navigating a major life change, working through anxiety that feels hard to shake, or taking steps toward recovery, you don't have to do it alone. I work with people who are ready to be honest about where they are, even when that's uncomfortable. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without fear of judgment, and start building the life you actually want.
My journey into this field was deeply influenced by my own personal experiences, which have shaped my desire to create a safe and supportive environment for others. I believe that vulnerability is a vital aspect of healing, and I strive to foster a space where clients feel comfortable sharing their struggles. By actively listening and validating their experiences, I aim to empower them to confront and overcome the obstacles in their lives.
For more than twenty years, I have had the privilege of walking alongside adolescents, adults, and couples during some of the most difficult and meaningful seasons of their lives. I believe that sometimes it can be difficult to see beyond the darkness in front of us. My role is to listen without judgement while helping you find your way toward the light again.
