Many of the solutions we seek are already inside of us. They can be hard to find, but it is possible. Using talk therapy and emotional regulation skills, we’ll work together to identify goals and practices that fit with the life you’re eager to live. I will provide compassionate, steady support as you navigate anxiety, depression, family or relationship challenges, recovery from addiction, and the impacts of ADHD.
I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs and always consider cultural and social context. I also collaborate with other therapists to offer educational and support groups several times a year. Using a combination of physical, emotional, and cognitive tools, we’ll work to improve daily functioning, strengthen coping skills, and increase the joy and ease in your life.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Regis University, and I work with adults across a variety of life stages and transitions.
Hi, I’m Laura and I specialize in helping women and teens heal from trauma, whether it shows up as anxiety, overthinking, people-pleasing, or feeling completely disconnected from themselves. I experienced trauma growing up and know firsthand how it impacts the whole body.
Through Somatic therapy, Brainspotting, and EMDR, I help clients release what’s stuck in their bodies and rebuild trust in themselves—because healing isn’t about “getting over it,” it’s about feeling safe again.
Our life experiences are layered and complex. My goal is to provide a safe, authentic, and supportive space for you to explore these experiences, create deeper emotional connections, and develop practical skills that facilitate clarity and change. With the use of integrated and insight-building strategies, we will weave together self-awareness and self-acceptance with effective and functional skills, enabling you to create real, lasting changes and lead a more balanced and fulfilled life.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, integrative, and tailored to the needs of each client. My specialties include anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress management, relationship concerns, career issues, and work/life balance.
I have a passion for helping adults, couples, and families enrich their mental health and overall wellness. Schedule a free consultation call with me today - I look forward to connecting with you!
I love this work. Twenty plus years in the field of psychotherapy, from hospitals, residential treatment, schools, outpatient clinics, crisis teams, to professional teams and now private practice, I offer a wide range of interventions.
If you're seeking family systems (internal and external), Couples & communication, Parenting & Co-parenting, Individual therapy, Trauma-recovery using EMDR, Brainspotting, Mindfulness and CBT, and Art Therapy, to support in identity exploration and archetypes, I'll meet you where you're ready to work. Even if therapy is new to you, or a familiar practice, we'll find where you are and what's in the way of where you want to be.
I’m Kaylee Torno, MA, LPC, NCC, and the founder of WayForward Counseling & Consulting. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver and have over a decade of experience supporting individuals and families as a licensed therapist and professional school counselor.
I specialize in working with teens (ages 16+), young adults, and adults who are navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and emotional overwhelm. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or unsure of their next steps. My goal is to offer a compassionate, down-to-earth space where you can feel supported as you better understand yourself, build coping tools, and begin finding your way forward.
Growing up neurodivergent, I knew my life purpose was to learn to navigate a world that wasn't meant for me and to help others do the same. As a therapist, former teacher, & crisis responder, I understand what it takes to navigate toxic stress in a world that wasn't built for your brain or nervous system. I had a period as a young adult in which I was disabled by neurodivergent burnout and had to reshape my entire life trajectory. I had a therapist that truly saw me - it was the support I needed to create my future self. Today, that same passion drives my clinical work. You are not broken, and your adaptations make complete sense given what you’ve been through.
I earned a BA in Psychology/Human Services, went on for an MSW and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2017. I have extensive experience as a school clinician, respite business owner, and non-profit director. I opened my therapy practice in 2019. My practice focuses on supporting neurodivergent and gifted teens and adults, women, LGBTQ+/ENBY/Trans*, and BIPOC folks facing burnout, trauma, grief and major life pivots. Whether you are processing trauma, recovering from betrayal, navigating divorce, parenting, facing loss, health changes, or untangling the burnout of masking or people-pleasing, our work centers on helping you drop the mask, establish meaningful boundaries, and step into grounded self-worth. Your future self is waiting! In our sessions, you can expect warm, down-to-earth collaboration rooted in real-world strategies. When you’re ready to prioritize your own healing, I invite you to connect with me. Outside of being a therapist, I am a proud single momma to a neuro-spicy kiddo and a pittie. I enjoy crafting, travel, making art, yoga, dancing, and the outdoors.
As an LPC, I’m here to support you through life’s messy moments. Asking for help takes courage, and I’m honored to walk alongside you as you find your way forward.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC), licensed addiction counselor (LAC), and registered Dance/Movement Therapist (R-DMT). I take a whole-body, person-centered, and strengths-based approach to counseling and utilize a variety of modalities to address the unique needs of clients. I strive to create a welcoming and judgement free space to help you find healing, resilience, and personal growth. I have worked in a variety of mental health settings and I am passionate about helping others navigate and rise above life’s challenges.
I have more availability than my Headway calendar reflects. Once you schedule and we speak over the phone, I can provide additional times.
I am currently accepting new clients. I’m so glad you’re here. Taking the step to reach out is often the hardest part, so congratulations on being here. After 15 years in this field, I know how much lighter life can feel with the right support, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you.
