Professionally, I have spent a decade in education (five years as a classroom teacher and five years as a school counselor). This is my third year as a therapist outside of the school setting.
For my masters degree, I attended Texas State University in San Marcos, TX (Eat 'em up cats!). At Texas State, I completed my MA in Professional Counseling with two focuses: school counseling and clinical mental health.
As a former educator, the populations I support include adolescents, young adults, educators, parents/guardians, and caretakers.
I am a native Texan, auntie, ice cream-loving, roller skating, retired professional athlete who also happens to be a Therapist. My background in the world of mental health dates back 10 years, in my work with families of Autism, Substance abuse and misuse, Student-athletes, Life- transitions, and family therapy. I enjoy introducing people back to themselves as they unpack their past with grace and patience. If you are experiencing racing thoughts, overthinking, or people-pleasing, let our work together find the root cause and, from there, uncover solutions that work for you. I believe that therapy does not have to be "forever," and my role is to safely get you to a place of wholeness within your next quest and journey.
Hello, I'm a licensed professional counselor and supervisor based in Texas. I obtained my bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Texas and my master's degree in Psychology from Houston Baptist University. Since 2011, I have worked with women at all stages of pregnancy and motherhood, including those who have experienced infertility, pregnancy loss or complications, birth trauma, a NICU stay and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders.
I am dedicated to providing support to parents and being a mom myself, I understand the joys and hardships!
I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin and I have a BS in Psychology from Texas State University.
I work with adults who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, substance use, or other life challenges, my goal is to offer a supportive space where you can feel understood and begin making meaningful changes.
I am a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor, perpetually curious about your stories and perspectives. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, body positive, trauma sensitive, culturally sensitive, sex-positive, and mindful of neurodivergencies and abilities.
With a collaborative, creative and strengths-focused approach, I provide therapy to individuals and couples, covering issues including resolving troubles, communicating effectively, meeting challenges, or dealing with addiction. Hi! I'm Kelly (she/they). In the past, I've worked at hospices and crisis centers; I'm passionate about creating space to hold the heavy parts of life. My expertise lies in grief counseling, and I work with all different kinds of loss. I currently work in private practice, and I see both individuals and couples. I enjoy working with teens and young adults, queer and trans folx, and neurodivergent clients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and existential dread.
Lifelong curiosity is key to my work as a therapist, with five years of experience providing counseling support for individuals and families and over a decade as an educator. There is nothing I love more than learning about people and helping to provide space for them to express themselves authentically.
I hold so much respect for anyone seeking therapeutic support for themselves or a loved one. My own mental health journey inspired me to help others, so know that I have been where you are. I am so grateful someone was looking out for me and encouraging this kind of care when I needed it most. That support proved invaluable for me, which is why I am so passionate about working with individuals exploring therapy for the first time. Taking that first step is not always easy, but I firmly believe the effort and vulnerability you put into this work is rewarded with meaningful growth.
