I am a bilingual counselor providing supportive services in both English and Spanish, with a focus on personal growth and resilience; I help individuals and families navigate life transitions, cultural adjustment, and complex grief. My compassionate guidance empowers clients to find balance and lasting emotional well-being.
I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can be yourself without judgment. I work with teens and adults across the lifespan, with particular experience supporting clients as they navigate anxiety, relationships, life transitions, and the challenges that come with change. My background in education has given me a deep understanding of the pressures people face at different stages of life, while my counseling training allows me to support clients in finding greater clarity, confidence, and balance. I strive to create a space that feels comfortable, supportive, and collaborative, while helping clients recognize their strengths and move toward meaningful change.
Life can be challenging, and sometimes we all need a safe place to talk, process our experiences, and find a way forward. I believe counseling is a collaborative journey where you can feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.
My goal is to help you navigate life’s challenges, develop healthy coping skills, strengthen your relationships, and build confidence as you move toward a healthier and more fulfilling life. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, stress, relationships, parenting, life transitions, or simply feel stuck, you don't have to face it alone.
I’m here to walk alongside you as you work toward positive change and greater well-being.
Hello! My name is Rachel. You don’t have to deal with your struggles alone. I am here to listen to your story.
I have over 10 years of experience working intensively with people who have substance use disorders, anxiety, trauma, depression & PTSD. My previous experience as a Clinical Director allowed me the honor of witnessing the transformation that happens in a person's life through therapeutic work. I believe in you and trust the process. My philosophies are strengths-based, person-centered with confidence that there is always hope. I serve as guide to assist you in healing and implementing changes so you can live a happier, healthier life.
The client-therapist relationship is one of the most important components of therapy. It is important you find the right fit. That is why I offer a free initial consultation. I am offering telehealth sessions and have evening availability to meet your needs.
I earned my bachelor's in Psychology at Smith College and my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Rowan University. I believe in tailoring my clients' experience to their likes and needs. I enjoy creative therapy, ACT, manifestations, physical activity, CBT, and strength-based approaches to help individuals reach their full potential.
I am a wife and mother and have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I enjoy using creative outlets to help make therapy a fully integrated experience.
I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely safe, heard, and understood. My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can openly process your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and life experiences without feeling rushed or criticized. I understand that starting therapy can feel vulnerable, so I approach each client with compassion, curiosity, and respect for their unique story and lived experience.
My style is warm, relational, and conversational while still grounded in evidence-based practices. I work collaboratively with clients to help them better understand emotional patterns, increase self-awareness, strengthen communication, and develop practical tools they can use outside of sessions. I value creating a therapeutic relationship that feels authentic and empowering, where clients can feel comfortable being honest, asking questions, and moving at a pace that feels manageable for them.
I work with individuals navigating stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-esteem concerns, emotional overwhelm, and patterns that may leave them feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. Together, we focus on creating meaningful and sustainable change while also making space for reflection, healing, and personal growth.
I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not an interrogation. My role isn’t to tell you what to do—it’s to walk alongside you, helping you better understand yourself, work through life’s challenges, and build the confidence and skills to move forward. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and strengths-based techniques, but I also believe the most important part of therapy is the relationship we build together.
Every person is different, so I tailor therapy to meet your unique needs. With younger children, that may look like play-based therapy. With teens and adults, it often feels like a comfortable conversation where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. My goal is for every client to leave feeling heard, supported, and equipped with practical tools they can use in everyday life.
Blest be the life that finds joy in the journey...
