I provide individual therapy to people 16+. I named my practice Your Evolving Truth Therapies (YET Therapies) because where you are at right now does not have to be where you stay; there is a lot of power in the word YET! I am an identity-affirming and trauma-informed therapist. My areas of focus include life transitions, stress management, anxiety, depression, and grief and loss.
I understand that life can sometimes feel overwhelming, and asking for help can feel impossible at times. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs and goals. I am committed to helping clients gain insight, build confidence, and create positive changes that support their overall well-being.
I give you a space to explore, feel, question, cry, scream, cuss, fall apart, and fall together. I like wrestling with whatever it is that is coming up in your heart or mind. Factors to Consider When Choosing a Postpartum Therapist in Austin, TX
Finding postpartum therapists in Austin starts with looking for care that matches your specific needs after pregnancy or birth. Postpartum concerns can include postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, birth-related stress, identity shifts, and relationship strain. Some people also look for a prenatal depression therapist or a counselor for pregnancy before birth. As you compare therapists, look for listed experience in perinatal mental health, postpartum depression counseling, or the PMH-C credential, which signals specialized training in perinatal mental health.
Austin has many therapists across neighborhoods and nearby areas, which can make it harder to narrow your options. For new parents, practical details often matter as much as specialty fit. Consider appointment availability, scheduling flexibility, and whether virtual sessions fit better with infant care, physical recovery, or an unpredictable schedule. Reading therapist bios can help you see how each person describes their approach, communication style, and experience with postpartum depression therapy, postpartum anxiety, and care for new moms.
Therapy in Austin can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before booking. Headway makes it easier to find therapists who accept a wide range of insurance plans, offer upfront cost estimates, and are accepting new patients. You can compare therapists, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
