People find healing when they feel heard. That is my goal in sitting with clients - to move towards healing by hearing your stories, strifes, and successes. My hope is to join my clients in achieving meaningful and deep healing, identifying resources for continued growth, and developing secure attachments in relationships. I am passionate about working with individuals and families who are processing life transitions, identity, relationship issues, trauma, grief and loss, and mood disorders.
My name is Bonnie Spicer and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Service Provider (LPC-MHSP). I have 9 years of experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, relationship issues, depression, addiction, just to name a few. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support and empower you in that journey. I admire your courage and determination for personal growth. I am sorry to hear that you are struggling right now. I can help you with your goals, discuss your concerns, and help you move forward. I am looking forward to working with you and helping you on your journey.
My name is Lacey Jackson, LCSW. I have been in private practice for 5+ years. My priority is to connect with clients while creating a trusting and comfortable environment.
I believe in empowering people to take charge of their own present and future lives. Generally, when you seek therapy, you are overwhelmed and ready to change. I believe you have it within yourself to make sense of your life, focus on creating the life you desire, and feel in control. I use strength and solution-based, client -centered psychotherapy. I am nonjudgmental, compassionate, and have a sense of humor. Regardless of the weight of therapy, we will also laugh!
I tend to work well with people whose lives or mental health do not fit neatly into one box. Many of the people I work with are dealing with anxiety, trauma, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, substance use, relationship stress, or family conflict, and they often understand the pattern but still feel stuck in it. If you feel overwhelmed, reactive, burned out, or frustrated that insight alone has not created change, I want therapy to be a place where you can slow down, feel understood, and start making sense of what is happening beneath the surface.
Hi, I'm Dr. Deborah DeFrieze, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience helping people work through anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, depression, and life's hardest transitions. If anxiety or overwhelm has been running the show lately, I'm here to help you take the reins back — with a warm, honest, and practical approach.
My path to this work has been a rich one. Alongside my social work career, I spent 33 years in public education — as a teacher in both regular and special education, an assistant principal, a principal, and an assistant professor — and I served as a missionary in Africa for 18 months. Those experiences taught me to meet people where they are, across every walk of life and stage of change. I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and a doctorate in education from the University of Georgia, and I'm also a Licensed Massage Therapist, which deepens my appreciation for the mind-body connection in healing.
I draw on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), EMDR, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, tailoring our work to what will help you most.
I love helping people, couples, and families overcome relationship issues. I provide a safe space for you to explore your emotions and improve communication. I believe therapy can enhance growth and change, and I am committed to helping you heal and thrive. Together, we can work toward building healthier relationships. Whether you have family conflict, anxiety, depression, or mental health issues or are unsure of the cause of your emotional distress, I can help. I can help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and improve your emotional well-being by providing a safe and supportive space to explore your thoughts and emotions.
If you understand why you feel the way you do but still can’t seem to change the patterns keeping you stuck, therapy can go deeper than simply talking about what’s wrong.
Hi, I’m Emily Burgess, LCSW, PMH-C, CMNCS, owner of Conduit Counseling Collective. I work with clients who may look like they’re functioning well on the outside but internally feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or exhausted from holding everything together.
My approach is warm, practical, collaborative, and whole-person focused. We’ll make space to understand your story and where your patterns came from—but we won’t stop there. I believe insight is most helpful when it leads to meaningful change in everyday life.
My work integrates evidence-based therapy with parts work, somatic approaches, nervous system regulation, and the connection between mental and physical wellbeing. When appropriate, we may explore how sleep, movement, nutrition, stress, relationships, and daily rhythms are impacting the way you feel. Mental health doesn’t exist separately from the rest of your body or your life.
I’ve worked in mental health since 2013 and have specialized experience in anxiety, life transitions, women’s mental health, and perinatal mental health.
Therapy with me is supportive, but it’s also active. I’ll bring curiosity, compassion, perspective, accountability—and probably some humor. You don’t need to have the right words or show up with everything figured out.
My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build trust in yourself, and turn insight into change that actually carries into your life.
3-5 fluffy sentences here aren't going to give you enough to make a good choice in something as important as selecting your therapist. I recommend you reach out to me and let's chat for 10 minutes before you decide. I am located in Clarksville and work with clients in their own homes or via telehealth in the state of TN.
