I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in the treatment of OCD and anxiety disorders. I work with adults and seniors and am passionate about helping people better understand their anxiety, build confidence, and create meaningful change in their lives.
My interest in anxiety and OCD is both personal and professional. I have spent more than 10 years studying anxiety and have pursued specialized training in OCD treatment and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Having experienced the impact that effective treatment can have personally, I understand how difficult it can be to take that first step toward getting help, and how empowering it can be when you find the right support.
Therapy can be defined as anything that is done that moves a client toward health and wholeness. Healing requires movement. So, first, we’ll collaborate and determine how you’re stuck in your life. As human beings, we reach out to others for assistance when we’re frustrated and can’t see any options for ourselves in a particular situation. At that point, we’re feeling stuck...with obsessive thoughts or compulsive behaviors, with feelings that we don’t know how to process, or with a partner or job that’s unfulfilling.
Being or feeling stuck is the last place you want to be. Life is about movement...whether it’s backwards, forwards, up or down. Any kind of movement gets you unstuck and involved in the healing process.
Therapy helps you get unstuck and helps you discern and make conscious choices regarding a course of action.
I use a variety of treatment modalities to help you reach your goals depending on your openness and preferences. These include cognitive behavioral therapy, insight oriented therapy, hypnotherapy and past life regression. Together we decide which treatment option is best suited to meet your needs. Sometimes it's one of these options exclusively, other times, it's a combination of modalities.
My style is warm and collaborative. I'm active in sessions and give clients feedback. One of my goals is to give you something to think about in between sessions.
My post graduate degree from Seton Hall is an Ed.S. in Marriage and Family Therapy. I also have a Th.M. in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Princeton Seminary and a M.Div. from the Lutheran Seminary in Philadelphia.
If you have unproductive behaviors, fears, stress or relationship problems, therapy helps. The first move is to reach out for assistance.
WELCOME! Deciding to seek therapy is a big decision, and I'm ready to support your journey! Are you looking for a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely explore your thoughts and emotions? As an experienced LCSW and LCADC, I bring over a decade of success, guiding a broad range of clients through diverse mental health challenges. My therapeutic approach prioritizes empathy, respect, and understanding your unique needs.
Choosing a mental health professional is personal – I invite you to join me & explore how we can work together. Thank you for considering me; let's embark on a path toward positive change together.
I know reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially when you have been carrying anxiety, depression, or substance use concerns on your own for a long time. I work with adults and seniors who are looking for a safe, supportive space to better understand what they are going through and begin making meaningful changes. My goal is to help you feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout the healing process.

Find the right therapist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in New Jersey
Searching for therapists in New Jersey starts with finding the right fit for your needs, location, and schedule. Across the state, therapy options can vary between urban, suburban, and rural areas, so it helps to look for a therapist whose listed specialties match what you want support with. That may include anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, or life transitions. You can also look for training in approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, or acceptance and commitment therapy.
Your search may look different in Newark, Jersey City, Trenton, South Jersey, or a smaller New Jersey community. Some people prefer an in-person therapist close to home or work, while others choose virtual sessions for more scheduling options. Beyond specialty, review whether a therapist is accepting new patients, offers appointment times that fit your calendar, and provides a free phone consultation. Reading therapist profiles can help you understand their style, areas of focus, and what a first session may include before you book.
The cost of therapy in New Jersey can vary, and using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs. Headway helps you search for licensed therapists who are accepting new patients, see estimated out-of-pocket costs before booking, and compare virtual or in-person options in one place. Nationally, Headway partners with over 100 insurance plans, and you can enter your insurance details to confirm coverage for your specific plan and location. Browse therapists, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
