Are you feeling overwhelmed with life? Does the never-ending ticker tape of to-do's running through your head leave you feeling physically exhausted and emotionally depleted? Do you feel pulled in a million directions, unable to fit it all in? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work and health? Is it hard to be kind to yourself? Are you struggling as a parent, trying to get it all right but not sure what to do?
I'm Andrea, a combat-deployed veteran, part of an active-duty military family, and a twin mom who's spent years learning how to work with her own ADHD instead of against it. That personal history shapes how I show up with clients: direct, warm, and genuinely curious about what makes you tick. I love problem-solving and getting to the heart of what's really going on so you can feel better, sooner, not months from now. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, burnout, ADHD, depression, trauma, and the everyday overwhelm of trying to hold work, relationships, health, and parenting together at once. If you're a parent trying to get it "right," a couple looking to communicate without the same old fight, or someone whose brain just doesn't work like the productivity blogs assume, I get it, and I can help.
Work demands don't pause when life gets hard. If you are navigating a transition, workplace stress, or the lasting weight of grief or trauma while still showing up for work and family, you already know how exhausting this is.
I am interested in helping you navigate these life transitions. I run a small, focused practice with evening and weekend availability, designed for working professionals and academic students. My background spans community health, trauma-informed care, and research.
I bring more than clinical training to this work—drawing on two decades in supporting individuals to self-actualize through education, design, and community building. My approach is integrative, warm, and forward-looking. It’s practical and rooted in evidence-based practices like Internal Family Systems, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), expanded by a adaptive and existential frameworks, and grounded in the belief that safety and transformation begin from within.
I am at my best when I am a guide for others. I start by listening and developing understanding of who you are, what you value, and where you struggle. I will help you to find your way back to yourself and develop the trust you need in yourself to live your best life. I use an approach that is very collaborative offering tools and resources, but assisting you to choose your own direction.
We all struggle at times, especially in the way we live these days. I can help you understand how and why you may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected and develop strategies to move through this to a happier, more grounded, and more confident version of yourself.
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I am passionate about helping adolescents and adults navigate life’s challenges with empathy, compassion, and understanding. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard and valued. My areas of specialization include depression, anxiety, adjustment and life transitions, and LGBTQ+ affirming care, among other concerns. Together, we work to build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and foster meaningful, lasting change.
As a licensed substance use and addiction counselor, I believe that recovery is not a one-size-fits-all journey—it’s a deeply personal process that deserves compassion, respect, and hope. Every individual’s story is unique, and so are the reasons behind their struggles with substance use. My approach is rooted in the belief that healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and supported without judgment. I view my role not as someone who tells clients what recovery “should” look like, but as a guide who helps them discover what recovery means for them.
