I graduated with a Masters degree from Northcentral University with the degree of Marriage and Family Therapy. I have been working with individuals, adults, and couples. Helping people get from point A to B and see the transforming impact in their lives is what drives me to be a therapist. I love to see people become aware of their own strength and power and rise from their challenges.
I am a bilingual English Spanish psychotherapist and clinical consultant in New York with extensive experience in outpatient mental health settings and in private practice. Relational trauma, dyadic work with parents and babies, life transitions like divorce, loss, coping with college related challenges and entering the workforce, and in general anxiety and depression have been at the core of my clinical work.
Your brain is always going, a constant loop of ideas, worries, and “shoulds.” You feel pulled in a million directions but can’t seem to start or finish the things that matter most. Deadlines sneak up, motivation comes in bursts, and overwhelm feels like your baseline. You might procrastinate until the last minute, avoid things that feel scary or hard, or overcommit to keep everyone happy, only to feel burned out and guilty later. Shame and self-criticism show up daily. More than anything, you want to quiet the mental noise, feel capable and calm, and stop beating yourself up.
As a board certified psychotherapist, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life. I've been practicing for 15 years, and my main focus is to help alleviate your pain, whether it be from depression, anxiety, trauma, or dissociation. I've excelled myself in and places great value on serving clients from diverse racial, gender, and sexual backgrounds. I am Deaf and fluent in American Sign Language.
We all face challenges and joys and I am no stranger to either. My road to therapy began about 15 years ago after experiencing my own trauma and grief. I was left feeling stuck on repeat and I needed to take back my power. Finding my way to the other side my best side was to learn and develop the tools to support others. I lean into supporting mothers and caregivers as it isn't always easy or predictable. My special education background lends me to advocate for children and families in the home and in the community. I love to support and make a plan for blended families. And my desire is to help couples and intimate partners find fulfillment and connection.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Postpartum Therapist in Arlington, MA
Finding postpartum therapists in Arlington starts with knowing what kind of support fits your needs. Postpartum concerns can include depression, anxiety, birth-related stress, identity shifts, and relationship strain. As you compare therapists, look for someone whose listed specialties match what you want to address. A therapist with perinatal experience, or a perinatal mental health certification (PMH-C), may have more focused training in care related to pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
Arlington is a smaller local market, so nearby in-person options may be more limited than in larger parts of Massachusetts. Virtual appointments can expand your search while giving you more flexibility around infant care, physical recovery, and changing schedules. Beyond specialty, consider appointment availability, whether the therapist is accepting new patients, and whether a free phone consultation is offered. Reading therapist bios can help you understand their approach, communication style, and experience with postpartum concerns before you book.
Therapy in Arlington can be a significant investment without insurance. Using in-network coverage is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs. Headway helps you find therapists who match your needs, review insurance options available through Headway, and see clear cost estimates before your first session. You can browse therapists, review bios, and book directly when you’re ready.
