I am a seasoned professional continuing to study and learn the most impactful ways to lessen human suffering and promote self love in all. Beginning my practice decades ago as a combat trauma therapist, I have found myself dealing with the traumas of early life and relationships with most my adolescent and adult clients. I believe counseling can offer many “tools”, to cope, however, I prefer to help people heal so that coping becomes an infrequent need.

• Geriatric & Memory Care: Rooted in a passion for senior care, my background includes dementia support with the Area Agency on Aging and the Alzheimer's Association, alongside providing dedicated psychotherapy in local nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
• Mental Health Wellness: I partner with clients across the lifespan to manage and overcome depression, anxiety, trauma, and PTSD.

I work with individuals ages 12 and older who are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship challenges, stress, or feeling emotionally overwhelmed. Hi, my name is Jordan Keener and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who provides treatment to adolescents, adults, couples, and families. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Georgia. Typically I work with clients with a variation of presenting issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship and family conflict, life stress, etc. My goal is to help empower others through providing grace during hard moments in life.

Finding the right medication is only part of the picture — truly understanding what's happening in your life matters just as much. That's why I incorporate brief, solution-focused therapy into every visit and make a point of staying in close communication with your other providers.

As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, I have extensive training and experience treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, and a range of other behavioral health challenges. I also enjoy working with young adults in their twenties who are navigating the unique transitions and challenges that come with that stage of life.

I have a special interest in women's health — particularly during the perinatal period and menopause — as well as the unique needs of healthcare workers.
