Hello! I'm so excited that you are here. Welcome to the start of something new! My name is Samaria Witherspoon, but I’m commonly known as Sam. I am an author, professor as well as the founder of Hidden to Healing, LLC providing individual, couples and family counseling to those that are struggling with trauma, anxiety, overall life satisfaction, depression, aggression, grief, substance abuse, and behavioral and emotional issues.
I am Jesmond Fair, born and raised in rural Alabama and later became an alumnus of The University of Alabama. I completed all my graduate training at UGA and am calling Atlanta home. I am a gay Black Christian cis-gender male. For most moments of the day, I have a random song on repeat in my head. This can be attributed to my background in vocal and instrumental music. I believe in being real. So, clients can expect facial reactions, slang, occasional profanity, laughter, and even tears.
Please do not use the booking function on this page. Call or email me directly for a free 15 minute consultation. Therapy is a "later in life" career for me. I have worked in multiple fields and with people from many backgrounds. Through this I learned that the thread connecting all of us is our desire to be able to respond rather than just react and thrive rather than just survive. What prevents this are the beliefs, experiences, and traumas that often are held in our bodies. It is when we identify and resolve these, we will live and love fully.
I am a Licensed Holistic Clinical Mental Health Counselor and the founder of Be Transformed Counseling. I help individuals move from hurt to wholeness by supporting healing of the mind, body, and spirit. My approach blends evidence-based therapy with holistic practices, while providing a safe, non-judgmental space for growth. I support clients navigating stress, life transitions, emotional pain, and personal transformation. It is my honor to walk alongside you as you pursue clarity, healing, and lasting change.
Hello! I believe healing begins by attuning to ourselves and becoming more aware of our powerful and intuitive body systems. These systems let us know when we feel safe/unsafe in a challenging situation. I have felt the power of this practice and notice the improvement of regulation.
I am continually striving to create an anti-racist, body-positive, and LGBTQIA+ inclusive space where I acknowledge the systemic issues that impact these individuals and their unique experiences.
